People notice long before anyone actually says anything.

It's been a while, but when I was in high school I was taking 2 phys ed classes at the same time and ended up spending about 1.5 full hours on an elliptical a day for 4 days a week, plus walking about 2 miles (to get to the gym). Lost ten pounds during those couple of months, but I never changed my diet. I ate like crap…

Calories in, calories out. Carbs aren't going to make you fat, and not eating carbs won't necessarily make you skinny. If you want to cut down your sugar intake, avoid *kitten* sugar-filled crap foods.

Wow really? No.

Isn't your DL normally more weight than your squat?

I'd just estimate 100 calories or not log it and move on with life.

150, then I'll reevaluate. I think I'd be happiest at 130. I'd like to keep some curves.

I use it for baking, smoothies occasionally, in oatmeal, and more often than anything I mix it with a lot of water to make a peanut sauce to dip spring rolls in. I personally really like it, just wouldn't use it on a sandwich or anything.

Get a heart rate monitor. It really is a great investment. MFP overestimates calories burnt by a LOT for any exercise. You won't regret an HRM.

Same here. Super annoying.

I try to log everything, caloric or not, so later I can go back and see what exactly I was doing that worked so well.

Look up Lauren Fitz and Mallory Hotmess on YT. Both have really fun zumba workouts and tons of different songs to choose from, mostly popular music.

The topic title is "How do I crush my plateau?"

I don't think it's real.

Not to start anything, but you can 'sautee' veggies in vegetable broth. Of course it's not quite the same but it does the job. I would never expect a business to do that though.

Two pounds is NOTHING. So minuscule, why even worry about it?

1 can of artichoke hearts 1 BIG handful of spinach 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese Combine spinach & artichoke hearts in a food processor, then fold in the cheese. Heat it up and put it in your mouth.

Just want to say that it's actually used to treat ulcers, it hasn't been shown that it causes them from what I've been reading.

Check out the ingredients on the back. The seltzer water shouldn't have much in it, and nothing unrecognizable. The soda definitely will have unrecognizable ingredients. Always better to understand what you're eating than just hoping for the best.

That's always fun. Or the friend who wants to share food when they go out. "Let's get a burger!" ".. A veggie burger?" "Oh, right. Let's not share."

I've been about 99% vegetarian this year, and I don't want someone giving me **** if they see I've had chicken.

Avocados are super out of season, which is why they'd be three bucks, so are mangoes and apples. Vegetables are generally really cheap. Find international stores and they can be very inexpensive. Most Mexican and Asian stores are the best (big stores though, not specialty shops).

I've only done it for a short period of time, but when I was going at it I would change the speed. My treadmill has 0-9 buttons however, for I'm not exactly sure what, but they do allow you to automatically press 5 and it'll change it to 5.0mph or 3 for 3.0mph etc. Made it super easy to change back and forth.

I haven't gotten to this yet, but I figure if I actually start losing fairly well I'll likely wear things that can easily work still after dropping 10-20lbs so I don't have to buy things as often. Yoga pants, sweatpants, tshirts. Days I want to look cute, dresses with a belt. Even old sweatshirts if you alter them a little…

Haven't read hardly any of the responses (except the first page) but I would say start talking about how you're trying to lose weight, just maybe bring that up. If she feels comfortable talking about everything then she will, if she's not, just let it go. Don't mention loose skin though, whatever you do.

A lot of vegans are dbags, that's why. They get the holier-than-thou stance which is annoying as hell. But they have the right idea in that if you have an opinion on something and think it's important, then stand by it and try to encourage it. They go too far quite often, but I think there wouldn't be as much banter back…
-
For whatever reason people think their opinion is always right, no matter what the stance. Omnivores whine about vegans, vegans whine about omnis. It's just easier for the carnivores to make fun of vegans because the majority of people are omnivores, not vegan. When you have a bunch of people backing you up, it's easy to…

Are you guys adults or am I mistaken? The "debate" in here seems a lot like trash-talking. How about be realistic for a minute and actually state your thoughts as opposed to saying things like "bacon" or "no I don't feel bad killing animals" because that's bull****, unless you're legitimately a sociopath. I'm not vegan,…
