Understanding maintenance

Holidays
just wondered what people do? I'm only going for a few days, and know there's no way of logging most of the calories. Do you just leave it blank while your away? As for my Fitbit. Shall I leave it at home ? Will this effect my app if it has a few days of 0 steps?

Calorie count Fitbit app/mfp
why is the fit bit count so different to the mfp? I mean in the fit bit app I've eaten a lot more calories than I've burnt but in the mfp I'm under my goal ( - the exercise Fitbit has added). I only log food on mfp. So they should be the same calorie intake?

Negative adjustments?
can someone explain this to me? Some people say enable others disable. I don't understand what it is to know what's best for me?. If it helps I'm very active in the day but not in the evening generally so I want the fit bit I've just bought to help me know what I can eat/calories I can have ?

Saving up calories
hi does it work to save up calories? What I mean is. If I eat say 200 calories less than I burn for 6 days a week then on the 7th day eat 1200 calories extra ( eg a night out ). Will I still have the same result weight wise?

New, fit bit app
sorry if I seem very dense. I'm trying to get my head round it. Do I just follow the calories on mfp not the fit bit app? They are linked and so I get the extra calories on mfp. But I'm slightly confused as my Fitbit app tells me totally different calories ( example I have 647 kcal left for today on mfp but the fit bit app…

Swimming and fit bit
i have a Fitbit zip. When I take it off to go in the pool with my toddler and leave it in my locker I don't actually swim just walk around with him. So I can't add it as an exercise but it will think I've just sat down for an hour and not count my steps?

Fitbit in a bumpy van.
sometimes I'm in a big bus travelling for quite a bit. How do I stop my fit bit counting the movement as steps when I'm just sitting ( not even driving)

Fitbit and travelling in van
i travel in a bumpy bus at work transporting people in wheelchairs, is there a way to 'pause' your fit bit while your travelling along so it doesn't count it as steps? The Fitbit zip or one? ( I can't put this message on the Fitbit group sorry)

Work and calories burned
thankyou all for all your help, I think I'm about on track now and understand. I have decided against a Fitbit and set my level as active and no longer adding anything except if I do proper exercise. I'm just not sure if to add or how much to add when I push a heavy wheelchair ( usually once a week) for a long distance (…

Fitbit and pushing a heavy wheelchair

I can't have it on my wrist at work and do a lot of cleaning at home too. I was going to get a Fitbit one so I can just wear it on my…
