I presume you're talking about calories? Total calories are everything that you have eaten and logged. Net calories are your total calories minus the exercise that you logged.

MFP sets your calorie goal excluding exercise. Hence, if your goal is 1600 calories, and you burn 400 calories exercising, your total calories for the day should be 2000. Your net would then be 2000-400=1600, which is your goal.

Of course, estimates of calories consumed in exercise are notoriously inaccurate, and in most cases inflated. Many people log only 50-75% of what the MPF database or their device estimates.

Thanks, so in a weekly sense, how is the total or net worked out for a week. I look at the graphs as I like to keep to my goal over a week as everyday is very different to me. But I can't work out which one is the average of the calories I have had that week. ( I thought it wud be divide by 7)
