Hello, Male, 5’8 and currently 144lbs About 1 month ago I was maintaining a weight of 140lbs, and then I started weight training. Now I’m at 144lbs but I’ve continued to eat daily target calories and most time eat under the target calories. Puzzled with the 4lb weight gain? I’m a missing something?

Hello. What’s a normal weight fluctuation? I’ve been under my daily calorie goal for over 1 week and all of a sudden starting Saturday I’m 2lbs heavier?? No alcohol and sodium intake has been below target. Any ideas?

Calorie tracking - daily vs weekly
Hello question, I do track calories daily and make sure I don’t go over. Often I have left over calories daily; between 200-300. Do I factor these into a weekly calculation? For example with Christmas here I’m surely going to have a few days where I go over my calories but do my shortage last daily balance it out? Thanks.

Quinoa - how to measure calories
Hello There, Question for the group. My package of quinoa says 1/4 cup = 170 calories and that 1 cup makes 3 cups cooked. When I measure for calories should I take the uncooked for calculating? So my 1/4 cup uncooked should be 3/4 cup cooked.....so after the quinoa is cooked if I take 3/4 cup it should be the equivalent of…

Hello, anyone else have this issue. Fitbit has tracked 14,893 and as a result MFP calculates that I have 800 exercise calories but with the steps tracker on my apple phone which has me as 22,500 steps it says I have 280 excercise calories? Fitbit seems high

Splurges?
Do any of you splurge on stuff as long as within your calories. The last week or so at night I still have about 700 calories left because of all the walking I do. I've been splurging a little with ice cream (200cal to 300cal). Could this cause a gain if I'm never over my calories?
