Mini Challenge: YOUR Goal by Labor Day!
Hi, Fitness Pal Community! I just finished a six-week mini challenge with some other members leading up to July 4th and many of us had success. I thought I’d start another one since July 4th is here! How about “YOUR Goal for Labor Day”? Labor Day is about nine weeks away! I am going to set a goal and track the next nine…

YOUR Goal by July 4th (weekly log)
Hi, Fitness Pal Community! I tried looking and didn’t see any goal threads, so I thought I’d make one. I participated in several of these in 2019 and they REALLY helped me reach my weight loss goals! Unfortunately the quarantine has my summer closer a bit more snug than I’d like. July 4th is six weeks away! I am going to…

Challenge Group: YOUR goal by Valentine’s Day!
Team, I lost thirty pounds last year starting exactly a year ago today! I have about seven pounds to lose after the holidays and a loose fall. But I’m ready to do this! Last year these challenge groups really helped me! I liked to weigh myself Friday mornings. Feel free to use this thread to keep yourself accountable!…

Challenge: Maintaining Until Christmas
Perhaps this post would be better suited for the “maintenance” group, but I’m not quite at maintenance yet. I am worried about gaining over the next month which was my problem last year! I lost 27 pounds from 1/1/2019 last year to about 7/1/2019 to be within my goal of 118-120 pounds. The last few months I have stopped…

Notice Birth Control More Now?
Ladies, mind you I’m only 5’4’’. I started Junel birth control when I weighed 146 pounds. Now I am at 122 pounds. I should also note the doctor has me on the pill continuously because of migraines. This month my chest has been so sore and I have felt bloated. In fact I felt like I did when I was pregnant with my two…

Help!
I’ve officially hit a standstill. I’ve been 122 for a month. I am only 5’4’’ for the record. Small frame. I’m still proud of losing 24 pounds since January but was really hoping to reach 118. I’ve been at 1300 calories with the occasional 1450 day here or there. I will say that I feel comfortable with the amount I’m eating…

Afraid to drink water... NOT Rational
This is going to sound crazy but at the end of the night as I approach bedtime I am afraid to drink even water. I am trying to get as low as I can so in the morning I am at an all time low. I should note I use Happy Scale and weigh daily to track trends (this works for me- please don’t suggest I not weigh daily- I’ve lost…

Weight Loss and Lower Debt?
Anyone else on a debt loss journey alongside their weight loss? I am finding these two go hand in hand! Cutting my calories has certainly helped me with staying in budget! I’m finding that budgeting calories and money are very similar processes! While I’ve always had a money budget, I’ve never followed much of a food…

Approaching Maintenance
I am a 30 year old, 5’4’’ female of small frame with two kiddos. I started 2019 at 146 and I am now down to 122. While my original goal was 120, I am not happy yet and plan to aim for 115-118. Not much muscle. Anyways... at 1250 calories I am lucky to lose a pound every two weeks now that I’m at the end, so I am thinking I…

Mini Challenge: 10 Pounds by July 4th
Per request from our awesome Easter group, here’s another challenge! This would put you on pace for about a pound a week, so feel free to make your goal less or more than 10 pounds! I am going to stick with the Friday weigh ins, but feel free to weigh in anytime that’s best for you! Ultimate Starting Weight: Challenge…

More Medication Symptoms
Has anyone noticed more of their medications showing symptoms since losing weight? I don’t know if it’s in my head but since going from 146 to 122 pounds I’ve noticed more cramps and other side effects listed in a particular medication I’m taking. My husband has noticed the same with some anxiety medicine he’s on.

Disney
We leave for Disney in the coming days. I have lost 23 pounds in the last five months, and I am only about 8 pounds from my final ultimate goal weight. Part of me doesn’t want to worry about the calories for our five days on vacation and enjoy the meals we’ve already paid for. But I am also paranoid to gain all the weight…

Mini Challenge: 10 pounds down by Easter
I apologize if this is a repeat, but I was in the last group “Mini Challenge: 10 pounds down by Valentine’s Day” and had a lot of success! I was hoping to find another 10 pound challenge and didn’t have luck. So I thought I’d start one! Anyone interested? Easter is April 21, so that’s about a pound per week! I was thinking…

Logic on “the last 20 pounds”...
I need help understanding why everyone says that when you get to the last 20 pounds, you should only be losing 1/2 pound a week. Why is this suggested? I only have 18 left to lose (and only started at a total of 25). If I am comfortable sticking to me 1350 calories a day, why can’t I keep aiming for 1-1.5 pounds per week…

Talk me out of it!
Friends- I just want to sit on my couch and binge watch March Madness with pizza and apps and some fun adult drinks. Remind me how far we’ve come and how I DON’T need these things haha. It doesn’t help I am a teacher and this is night 1 of my spring break! Go Bucks! We won’t win tonight, but won’t stop me from rooting! But…

Small Win!
I know you ladies in this group specifically will appreciate this as I didn't want to post in my other groups as to rub it in as I know some other members are losing dozens of pounds so to them I am a joke... But anyways... I start by saying that I am VERY short... I am 5'4 and have a very petite frame. Anything over 130…

Estimating Calories while eating out..
I’m not sure this question has a definitive answer, but I am at a loss of what to do when I eat out at a restaurant that doesn’t list calories. My husband and I frequent one Mexican restaurant and one local pizza chain on a weekly basis as our small splurge for the week. I’ve tried searching for the calories but they vary…

When did you see a slow in momentum?
I am in week 4 at this point. Though my goal was 1 pound per week, I’ve been losing 1.5-2 pounds per week. I started at 146 and I’m at 138. My final goal is 120 by June 1. So far I’ve rarely been exercising and just counting calories. It’s seemed fairly easy so far. Usually by now when I’ve tried to lose weight it’s been…

Who Uses Weight Trend Apps?! Post your results!
Anyone use Happy Scale or related apps to track trend data? Post your success here! I thought it would be fun to spot similar trends! Here’s my most recent! Hoping for 118-120 by June 1.

Fitbit Device
What is the cheapest yet most efficient device I can buy to track activity? I don’t need anything too fancy. Just a basic tracker to see if I am moving enough to add in extra calories in MyFitnessPal.

Help! Can’t “Go”...
This is super embarrassing but since starting this logging process and calorie deficit I CANNOT seem to have a BM. I normally don’t go more than three times per week anyways but now I am down to about once a week and it’s a struggle. Any advice? I thought with the extra water and healthier food I may go more often but not…

Hard to be patient...
This is my 34th day of counting calories and logging food... which is about 4 more days than my previous logging streak (I’ve been a member since about 2010 on and off). I think before I lost weight in an unhealthy way so I would see drops of 2-4 pounds a week. Then the pounds would stop and I would get sick of eating so…

Vegetarians Losing Weight
I am a vegetarian and have been since I was 12. People assume this means I am healthy. No. It means carbs are my best friend. I often help my self to seconds because “I didn’t get the meat serving.” This is not working out well. The worst is that I am not necessarily a huge salad fan either. Any other vegetarians trying to…

Lean Cuisine Ibotta Deal
If you have Ibotta and a Kroger near by, you can get Lean Cuisine’s for $0.77 a pop! Kroger has them on sale for $1.77 and if you buy 7, cash your receipt into Ibotta and save $7.00 making each one $0.77! I’m not sure how much longer the deal will be available but I’ve cashed this in twice now! Once you get to $20, you can…

Signs that Calories are Too Low
I am on day 11 of counting my calories. MFP suggested I eat 1,200 calories for my 5’4 height. I started at 146 and I’m down to 141 after the 11 days. So far most days I’ve been okay on 1,200 calories. But tonight I was laying in bed and my heart was racing. When limiting my calories in the past, I’ve noticed this happens.…

Cheat days?
I am on a 1,200 calorie diet. I am current 143 and want to get to 120. How often do you have a cheat day? And is it basically a day without counting calories at all? Or just a bit over your calorie goals? I would hate to ruin all the work I’ve done in one day! I’m on day six day of 1,200 calories. Down 2.5 pounds.

Cuttings Carbs
I am addicted to carbs. It’s a really bad problem. As a vegetarian I feel I justify the carbs since I am not eating meat. This has lead to some gradual weight gain. Any go to filling foods that seem to fill this void? Is some carbs occasionally okay? I am not interested in the Keto Diet as I have studied it and as a…
