exercise after injury?
In February, I slipped on the ice, landed hard on my right elbow, and jammed my elbow and my arm into the shoulder socket. Nothing was broken, but I had trouble lifting that arm above my waist. For months, brushing my hair, making the bed, lifting that arm was really painful. Six months later it doesn't hurt as much but…

fitbit charge 6 suddenly rolling back steps
My fitbit has been acting very odd the last few days. I try to walk 1-2K steps an hour. So I keep an eye on my fitbit, as I walk, checking it periodically, and when I have walked my piece for the hour, I will sit down. What's been happening (as I watch) is that then the fitbit will suddenly roll back steps, both on the…

blood sugar apps
Currently I keep a calendar on my desk, where I enter my weight and blood sugar during the day. I realize MFP lets you enter blood sugar, but I don't think it lets you do a time. I'd like an app that I can track my meals/foods eaten just like MFP, but also blood sugar throughout the day as I enter it, and will give me…

I did it!!!!!!
After six months of low carb dieting. From an A1C of 10.4 and blood sugar readings as high as 300 FINALLY down to normal. And all without drugs. I am so So SO VERY HAPPY!!!!!😃😅🙏

does anyone here use a continuous glucose monitor?
I am going in for a blood test next week and I am wondering if they are useful for T2 diabetes, or just for T1? useful if you have gotten your blood sugar down to normal, at least some mornings every week, and are trying to keep it that way if they are bulky or uncomfortable? Are they expensive? If they are appropriate if…

how does fitbit calculate the recommended calories to burn ?
My fitbit app tells me I need to burn 2389 calories a day. I never set this, and I don't see where it is set. When I tried to research it, it seems like it might be calculated, but I don't see where it is calculating it. does anyone have any insight on this?

after three months of low carb dieting
My morning blood sugar is finally lower than my weight. BS 159 Weight 162. I hope to be in the normal/ideal range in another three months. No drugs, just diet and exercise.

frustrated and confused, how do you get ahead?
So this morning, I was amazed and delighted to test my fasting blood sugar at 124. I SO want to get down to 100. I went out to walk and throw the ball to my impatient German Shepherd before breakfast, and about 3000 steps later, came in. I tested my blood sugar before eating and it was 177. Without eating. I know exercise…

add a time field to breakfast/lunch/dinner in the food entry
For those of us that want to test blood sugar after a meal, it would be helpful to be able to enter the time of the meal, which is not always the same every day, so we are reminded of when we can test blood sugar.

how do you get vitamin C without carbs?
I'm on a very low carb diet, and so obviously I'm not eating an orange or having a glass of juice. I just checked my vitamin C tablets, gummies, etc. Each one has 4 grams of carbs. That's a lot of carbs to me, for a tablet. I checked how much vitamin C is in a cup of spinach/arugula, or in a cucumber and it is pretty…

what do you recommend for keto breads
I tried a slice of the Lewis' Bake shop 5 seed keto bread this AM with my morning egg. I gram of carbs, 40 calories, for a biggish slice. I think it is better tasting than the Sola sweet oat, but it still seemed to have a slightly peculiar taste. I think if it were eaten with something other than an egg, with more flavor…

where's the red line next to food items on your diary to allow deletion
Sometimes I don't get a response when I try to add an item and I try again, then end up with it listed twice. I used to see a red line or mark to the right of the item that I could click (this is on the web) to delete the duplicate entry. I haven't seen that for two days. I end up going to the phone app and editing the…

cardio load
Today my fitbit app suggested a cardio load for me of 57 to 71. I have no idea what this is, and fitbit isn't terribly helpful about this. I'm 68, 169 lbs and working on losing weight with a 1200 calorie diet, logged myself as sedentary, and generally get between 4 to 7 miles of walking in a day, (10K + steps). It is not…

what is the difference?
Between type 2 and regular diabetes? I tested with an a1C of 10 in October 2024. Since then I've lost over 30 pounds, on a low carb, low calorie, low salt diet. I am not on any diabetes medication, the PA said she would see how I did just dieting. I have an appt in a month to get tested again. I'm obviously trying to…

fitbit has stopped syncing exercise calories to MFP AGAIN
It stopped working November 9th, then started working a few weeks later, now, today, it is showing my steps from YESTERDAY with zero exercise calories . SAME PROBLEM
-
since you are not fixing the step sync issue
you need to give your customers an option to log steps. You don't. You need to write software to resync with fitbit when issues like this occur You need to offer a calculation for fitbit calories based on steps, or a combination of steps and activity points, so that we can add this It really is unacceptable that you leave…

help!!!! lowered weight on goal and it reset my start date
I decided to reset the lower range of my weight goal after 32 pounds lost, and it then reset my starting date for the weight loss. How can I set up a new weight goal that begins on the date I started, and not the day of the new lowered weight. I spend a half hour on a chat with fitbit and they could not see to understand.…

help with fitbit app?
After losing 32 pounds, I decided to lower my goal weight in fitbit to a lower weight for inspiration. Unfortunately instead of doing that, the app reset my start date to today, starting weight to today's weight, weight loss zero pounds. Does anyone who uses fitbit know how to set a weight goal that starts at a specific…

fitbit exercise/step calories not posting to mfp again today
the day before yesterday, the calories did not post all day, then at midnight, they finally posted yesterday it was fine, they posted all day Today, again, nothing has posted. I know MFP has stated that this is an ongoing problem, and they are not working on it to the exclusion of other "improvements". I get that not…

potassium supplement
Two nutrients I consistently fail to get enough of, on reviewing my food diary, are potassium and iron. I eat spinach every day, but I get that still doesn't give me enough iron. I am wondering, does anyone supplement potassium or iron?

can you set a goal weight?
I don't see a place for it

is dieting really that simple?
I am a refugee from Diet Workshop, WW, and calorie counting plans. I've been on MFP a month. I have lost 14 pounds since June 1st when I started my diet. I'm hopeful but also filled with doubts. I'd like to believe dieting is as simple as calories in, calories burned, but I know its not and I still have deep doubts I can…

can you add steps to the fitbit app
I left my fitbit at home before my walk. Is there a way to add the steps to the fitbit app. I added the exercise to MFP, but it throws my stats off in fitbit. If there's a way to add them, I will, (knowing there's nothing I can do about zone minutes)

logging blood pressure
Is there a place to log or track blood pressure readings in the Myfitnesspal or fitbit app? Not automatically, just to manually enter it
-
manually add steps
MFP is getting steps from my iphone, but I forgot to take it with me for this am's walk so its missing several thousand steps. Can I add them manually? There's a report that tracks daily steps on mfp and unless I can add steps, its not accurate, and I'd sort of like it to be to track how my diet/exercise plan is working

tracking goals
I've just started on this app, and I think the food diary is wonderful. It's been missing nothing I've tried to log The exercise diary I find puzzling. I want to log exercise in minutes not reps. Some exercises, like sit ups, or general exercises, don't seem to be able to be tracked in minutes. Can anyone help me with…

false readings
twice this week my fitbit has shown abnormally high zone readings - a total of 312 minutes today and 572 on wednesday. of course it added a lot of exercise calories for periods that I may have been tense and doing things, but not "Exercising". Is this a common thing with fitbit and how do you handle it since it seems to…
