Hi all! I'm a cancer survivor who was sent into menopause due to chemotherapy. It has been two years since my treatment ended and I'm shocked at this weight gain. Anybody following Dr. Furhman's Eat to Live progam? I just picked up the books and am researching into this plan. It seems like it is pretty radical and just wondering if anyone on these boards has had success with it.

4 mile tempo run - Pitted my Garmin Forerunner 205 against my new Polar F6 HRM Only a 5 calorie difference in calories burned Now I'm confident enough to leave the HRM at home on easy run days.

I felt kind of weird starting a thread since I'm new to joining your group but what the hey. I did another 5 K today but added a handful of fartleks of progressive distance for an added push. I normally wouldn't run every day but snow is falling right now and I wanted one last run on ice free roads.

Yeah! I ran outside today!
I am so happy. I had my first run in almost 2 months today. And the best part I was able to do it outside. Just an easy 3 miles but I had a smile on my face the whole time.

Low Fat
Most days I'm short on fat. As a rule our house is a pretty fat free zone. I'm wondering if I should worry about it. Heart Disease runs in my family so I take my Omegas and Fish Oil plus I try to add ground flax when possible.
