Measure BMI: Small frame, medium frame, or large frame?
First post, so bear with me! Small bit of background about me before I ask my question: Have always been big into Field events, hence really strong, but also got to be obese. At 5'11" and nearly 300 pounds, still scarey to think about. Started my weightloss journey a few years ago, and lost about 100 pounds. When I felt I…

Social media (Facebook) friends selling weight loss/fitness
I have a few friends on Facebook who have been making essentially every post about the latest endorsments to weight loss methods (some 12 times a day). I realize that they get money off for distrubuting or whatever, but I (personally) don't think they realize what kind of impression they are giving off. And also (not in a…

Wear HRM all day to determine ideal weight loss calories?
So I've been using my Polar ft7 for workouts only. But I was wondering if anyone had any input on wearing it all day on a "normal" day, then using that calorie count to determine a good weight calorie count number? Any advice is appreciated.

"We're Going Out To Eat, Don't Know Where"= panic!
So in the past, I think a good deal of us wouldn't think twice about being excited to go out for a meal (If you know me, I'm a broke college student, so if I'm going with my family I'm thinking, "SWEET! Free food! Better load up!") But now, when someone says, "We're going out to eat." I have to take deep breath and…

"You're so moody and mean since you're on a diet!"
Have people ever commented on your emotions ever since you've started changing your old habits? My brother is the one that comments most on it. Mainly because I have to turn him down on going out for food or can't go do something, because I have to work out or my diet doesn't allow it. Yet, he continuous to offer. Which is…
