600 pound life suicide
I am often guilty of having the mindset that my weight holds my happiness hostage and “when” I get to goal, I’ll finally be happy. Fixing your body doesn’t fix your head. My absolute favorite cast member my from guilty pleasure show, My 600 pound life, took his own life last night. He was doing so well and lost 400 pounds…

Go ahead and hit the Woo..
Does anyone here use Thrive by LeVel? I am constantly hounded by people on FB to try it. I know a calorie deficit is the only true way but I’m so burned out and want a boost. I know exactly what people are going to say so I’ll just go ahead and woo myself now. Lol. I’m bored. Any advice on pushing through a time that you…

Cracker Barrel FINALLY released a nutrition info PDF on their website. Welcome to 2018. I am going there with my Mom for dinner and found it when I was dealing my calories like drug money.. I mean, pre-logging. And man, I wanted to know but WOW! Thank goodness for the Wholesome Fixins menu.

Scale up with new work out routine
I started the 21 day fix on Monday for work outs. Following my calories to the T and man am I sore. This morning the scale is almost up a pound. Super disheartening and annoying! I am hoping this is due to my new workout routine and water retention?

Rotisserie chicken poll
Random poll for no purpose other than my curiosity. When I buy a rotisserie chicken I: 1) Leave it whole and pick off what I need. 2) Debone the entire chicken and store pieces. 3) I don’t buy rotisserie chickens.

Holy Moly. I am out of shape.
I have been on this journey for almost 2 years and today was the first day I really attempted to work out. I started the 21 day fix workout along with MFP. I am really proud of myself for getting up and doing it but also bummed I am so out of shape. The modified lady still kicked my butt. I hope my stamina improves over…

Red Robin?
My sister chose red Robin for her birthday dinner tonight. The original gourmet burger is 880. The double tavern burger is 650. Both have cheese. On the off chance someone works there, how is the double burger less? Is there less bread tavern style or are the patties smaller? Thanks!

Ladies.. Yasmin BC?
My doctor switched my birth control pills today from Necon to Yasmin due to some PMS issues I am having. I am nervous to start a new BC for many reasons but weight gain is the one I’ll ask about here. Any experiences?

High school bully
I have only ever experienced bullying about my weight from one person my entire life. I don’t know what his problem was but in high school there was one guy who went out of his way to make me miserable. I dated 3 guys over high school in his circle of friends and each time he would pick on them for liking me. He even made…

Pity party about crazy numbers. You’re invited.
I know everyone is different. I don’t expect my experience to be exactly like anyone else but I wanted to just put this out there. Like most people I sometimes stumble on logging. Sometimes a small difference and sometimes I derail completely. Over Christmas I totally derailed for 2 weeks. The scale was up 20 pounds. It…

I called Special K today....
Today I called Special K because I eat their sausage, egg and cheese flatbread regularly. I sometimes take things off and add other things to them. I was curious what the calorie count of each individual item is. So when I remove an item I know the new count. This could be a little “extra”’on my part but because I do this…

Amusement park woes
Yesterday I went to an amusement park with my family. For years I avoided them due to the fear of not being able to fit on rides at 5'0 and 272lbs. I have lost 66 pounds in the last 14 months and I am feeling pretty good. I wish I could say " I got on those rides no problem and had a blast!!" At 5'0, bottom heavy and 206…

Made things awkward for myself.
From April 2016-May 2017 I lost 66 pounds. I had a long and hard summer and ended up gaining about 30 back from May-Nov 1. I am now working on losing it again and have lost 9 of it. My issue is that poeple love to ask me about my weight loss. I made the initial mistake of letting other people ask too many questions because…

Weird question... I’m being that person.
I realize a recipe and it’s ingredients must be measured and weighed to ever truly know any calories. When you are out and about sometimes all you can do is make your best educated guess. But I got suckered into six of these frozen empanadas at the farmers market. And I want to have one per day. They are cheese and onion…

Never going to be happy?
April of 2016 I weighed 272 lbs. May of 2017 I had ade it down to 206.8. Unfortunately, right now this process has got away from me and I am sitting at 229. I feel like a lot of this has to do with the fact that even all the way down to 206 I was still unhappy with myself. The things I didn't like were just new. Feeling…

Backsliding! Help!
I could really use some advice. From April 2016- May 2017 I lost 66 pounds. Since May I have been struggling so much and have been fluctuating 10 pounds up and down. I have 34 to goal. I know 10 can easily be 20 and then all of it back. I don't know if I am just burning out or what the problem is. I fear gaining everything…

Random chicken question
Has anyone noticed how much 3 oz off of a rotisserie chicken from the store looks compared to chicken you make yourself? I know chicken shreds off of a rotisserie but I shred chicken at home too. Rotisserie chicken always looks like a mound on the scale in comparison. I know this is so weird but I've noticed it over and…

Which entry do you use for corn cut off the cob? I measure in grams. So many and I can't find one that seems consistent. Thanks!

Labs after weight loss. UGH!
After 3 years of avoiding the doctor and opening some can of worms about my health, I went last Friday for a check up and blood work. The doctor was very impressed with my 66 pound loss. My BP used to sit around 160/90. This trip it was 106/77. They just called me to tell me my blood work showed my cholesterol elevated.…

Wanting to change my daily goal on app
Every Saturday I change my goal to .5 per week vs 1 lb so I can eat a little more without messing up my deficit. The next day when I change my goal back it shows me in the red the day before. Is the only way to set a daily goal and have it show what I ate that day only to get premium?

Burning out.
I have been at this seriously and consistently since April 2016. I have lost 60 pounds in that time and I am really happy for myself. I have 40 pounds to go until I re-evaluate my goal and figure out exactly where I want to be. From January until now I find myself having more "bad" days than good. My motivation and…

The magic pants...
I was able to buy jeans a size smaller about 15 pounds ago. At about 8 pounds ago, these pants became large and saggy. I had a few comments about how I need to retire them. I don't want to buy new clothes all the time so I was just holding out. Now that I have lost another 5-7 pounds, the pants fit snug again?? I even had…

Sandwiches are bad for you.
Making a sandwich with meat, thin cheese, yellow mustard, light mayo, onion and pickle USING a food scale. Random observer: "Uh oh. Are we off track today?" Whoops. I forgot my chicken, brown rice and asparagus IV at home! :( (PS I like chicken and rice but I didn't realize beyond them I was off track.)

1360 calories and short :(
I am currently 227 down from 272. My calories are now set to 1360 per day and I find it to be quite the challenge. My loss per week is set to 1.5 because I have such a long way to go with a goal of 160 lbs. I am only 5'0. I have been told by many that I shouldn't eat back exercise calories and I really don't trust what the…

Old "weight loss" clothes...
3 years ago I lost about 30 lbs and gained it back. I am at the weight I was then again and still have the jeans from this weight. They don't fit! I guess losing and gaining up/down changes your body? They fit me at this weight before and now they are too tight :(

Smoking, emotion and eating
Three years ago I stopped smoking. Last summer I went through a rough time that I have discussed in this forum before. I started up for about 3 months and quit once things leveled out. In March my life took a turn again (involving infidelity and divorce) and I have recently been smoking again. When I am smoking I lose so…

Insecurity ruining my marriage
Three years ago I lost 55 lbs and felt amazing. Since then I have lost touch and gained it all back. I feel miserable and terrible about myself. This has greatly effected my marriage. I have so much self doubt lately and can't help but feel insecure and that it is only a matter of time before my husband sees me the way I…

Cheating husband.
My husband told me he cheated on Saturday. I am not going to get into how terrible I feel, where to go from here with my family or any of that. I really just need help and advice because my self esteem is absolutely shot. I am consumed with thoughts that this is all because of my weight and if I was slim this never would…

App vs Full site weighing in
When I weigh in on the full site my calorie goal is adjusted for my new weight roughly every ten pounds. When I weigh in on the app it never changes my calorie goal. People on my friends list were unaware of that. So some people using the app are losing 30-40 lbs and never having the calorie goals reevaluated. Has anyone…
