went waaaaay over calories, what to do?
This weekend I went way way over my calories and am feeling extreme guilt; what do you guys do in these situations? I kind of just want to exercise like a maniac tomorrow and eat like, one really healthy salad, but it probably doesn't work like that... does it? How can I make this right?

Binge-eating issues after starting on MFP?
I've never had any binge-eating problems -- I mean, I ate a lot sometimes, but it didn't feel the way it feels now. Since I started to count calories I've had several bouts of binge-eating that feel really weird and compulsive, like I just blindly consume everything in sight. Lately it's been happening more and more...…

A bottomless pit
Lately I have been so hungry all the time. And I don't even mean physically hungry, unfortunately -- I just mean I feel like eating CONSTANTLY. Even with exercise calories it's been a huge struggle to stay under my goal. Could this just be a phase? Does anyone ever feel like this? What could be causing it? I'm a pretty…

Divine pumpkin pie pudding - 65 calories
ETA: someone commented that 1 tbs pudding mix is actually 25 calories -- which seems more accurate to me. And brings the calorie count up to 80! MFP won't let me edit the header -- my apologies. I have been all about the canned pumpkin lately. What a marvelous food! This pudding is supremely delicious, and pretty healthy,…

What to do with egg YOLKS?
I eat a ton of egg whites, and prefer the real thing to eggbeaters and such... which means I waste a lot of egg yolks! Do you have any recipes for healthy things to do with the discarded egg yolk? I'd love to not feel so wasteful about it.

Part-time active job: what activity level are we?
Hey all, I am a part-time waitress -- I wait tables 3-4 times a week, in a very large restaurant that involves a ton of walking and lifting. I wouldn't hesitate to say that on the days I wait, my activity level is "lightly active." However, on the days I don't work, I do a LOT of sitting around! On those days, I wouldn't…

How do you track calories weekly?
I've seen some people say that they keep track of their deficits by the week, rather than by the day, and I'd love to hear a little more about this process! How do you keep track? What numbers do you look for?

FREE calorie-burning exercises with a knee injury??? HELP
Usually I run 4 miles 5-7 days a week, but I hurt my knee and want to take some time off. What are some effective calorie-burning (cardio?) exercises I can do that aren't super high impact on my knee? I have absolutely no money to spare, so I can't join a gym or a pool or anything. I am doing the 30-day shred (being very…

Taking a break from running -- thoughts?
I usually run 5-7 days a week, 3-5 miles at a time. I went on a 5-mile run the other day and when I walked back my knee was really feeling weird -- not even painful per se, just stiff and weak and kind of... I don't even know how to describe it, just weird around the kneecap and sort of buckling. I really value my knees,…

Are any calories lost in burned-off cooking liquid?
Hey, so I just pan-cooked some oatmeal in almond milk, and by the time the oatmeal was cooked the liquid was all but gone, and it got me wondering... are any calories lost when liquid is burned off through the cooking process?

How do you folks log the 30 Day Shred?
Just wondering how people log the 30ds on the MFP exercise counter.

Nike fitness app accuracy? (nano ipod)
I just got a new Nano iPod, and there is an awesome Nike fitness app on it that times my workouts and also claims to measure my distance and pace and calories burned! Does anyone know if their distance/pace/calorie measurements are accurate? I just don't get how they can measure my pace, it seems magical, LOL.

In your twenties and social? So hard to count calories!
Hey, I am looking for girlfriends on here who are, like me, in their twenties and very social. I am finding it so hard to count calories and balance my social life -- being on a diet involves planning, and I've lately been turning down last-minute or even last-hour invitations to go places because I know it'll ruin my…

What does "cheat day" mean to you?
Do you still log your food? Do you have a set number of calories you allow yourself to eat until? Do you just go all out and calories be damned?

Activity level? Any waitresses out there?
I'm a waitress and am having trouble judging my activity level -- I have it marked as "sedentary" at the moment because on my days off from work I am sitting down for most of the day, but the days I work I am on my feet constantly. My heart rate isn't up or anything, so it's certainly not "exercise," but it's not…

Do you take a daily or weekly approach to calories?
I feel like since I made my first post a few days ago I'm spamming everyone, but it's just really nice to talk about this stuff with people! Anyway, throughout the weekday I'm usually under my calorie goal, sometimes by as much as 600 (including exercise calories, which I don't eat back). Then on the weekend I am usually…

Do you re-set your calories when you lose weight?
Last post of the night, I swear! It's rainy and I'm bored. I've lost 8 pounds and lowered my goal-weight and so figured it'd be good to re-set my calories -- and now I have 30 less per day, which is fine, I was just wondering -- do other people re-set their calories to reflect their weight loss? The smaller you are, the…

Voila vs. Wah La
Okay, I am wondering: I've seen a lot of people write "wah la" on these forums instead of "voila" -- is that just a common mistaken misspelling, or is it from something? A movie or a show or the internet or something? I am not asking to be critical, I honestly want to know! I haven't had a TV for years and so miss a lot of…

Was my dinner really that few calories?
My boss at work cooked me dinner tonight, and I felt I couldn't refuse because it's a new job and he's an AMAZING cook -- so I just accepted that I'd be going over my calories or at least toeing the line, and ate what he gave me: a big fried chicken leg, a cup of buttery mashed potatoes, and a cup of bechamel sauce as…

I'm bad at this
Hey, I am 25 yrs old, 5'10" and ~150 pounds, and I'd like to get to about 135, but I am having sooooo much trouble. I run about 3 miles a day and really enjoy it, so exercise isn't as much of a problem for me as eating is. Since starting MFP about two months ago, I've had two separate weeks where I just messed up…
