FREE calorie-burning exercises with a knee injury??? HELP

Usually I run 4 miles 5-7 days a week, but I hurt my knee and want to take some time off. What are some effective calorie-burning (cardio?) exercises I can do that aren't super high impact on my knee? I have absolutely no money to spare, so I can't join a gym or a pool or anything. I am doing the 30-day shred (being very mindful of my knee! I do it barefoot and modify some of the exercises), but it doesn't feel like enough, and I'm always hungry, so really need to get some extra exercise calories!

Any advice is well appreciated.

Do you have a bike? That's good to mix it up. If not (and if you can scrape u a few bucks) Craigslist is a good place to look for bikes-you can find em on the cheap and they'll still get the job done! I can't use ellipticals, for some reason they kill my knees! I've never done 30 DS but I've done both Insanity and P90x. Insanity will kill your knees so just warning you of that. Band exercises are good, walking...if you can find a park or something close by that has benches, bars, or a playground you can incorporate all kinds of exercises in-bench dips, incline/decline pushups, etc. And I hear you on the food issue-I am seriously a bottomless pit and I need a padlock on my entire kitchen! If I think of anything else I'll message you. Good luck!
