What to do with egg YOLKS?

I eat a ton of egg whites, and prefer the real thing to eggbeaters and such... which means I waste a lot of egg yolks!

Do you have any recipes for healthy things to do with the discarded egg yolk? I'd love to not feel so wasteful about it.

For a short time I was throwing them away then I just decided it was better to eat them. They're so good!

Eat them. You can make mayonnaise with them, or custards. But the best is just to eat those delicious little liquid chickens

I eat them, but if you really don't want to: 1) mix with the dog's food or 2) use on your hair as a conditioner

Homemade vanilla custard for a special treat is amazing. You can freeze egg yolks for this purpose. I add approx. 1 tbs. sugar to about 6 yolks (to stabilize), label in a ziplock and then when I want to make a big batch of banana pudding for a family gathering I can use them all up.

Do you realize that if you eat the whites, then eat the yolks separately, you might as well just eat the whole egg to begin with?

I had about a dozen yolks by themselves this weekend. I love to eat them, but damn they cause some gnarly protein farts lol!

I eat them. An egg alone is not so bad, and the yolk is the part that has the most nutrients.

As for "healthy" things to do with egg yolks only, there are none that I can think of, although if you can restrain yourself to a tiny dessert serving each day for a week, this does very nicely in moderation:

Use it in your hair! It's a wonderful conditioner and makes your hair pretty shiny, so you wouldn't be wasting them, but still not eating them...
