I've seen some people say that they keep track of their deficits by the week, rather than by the day, and I'd love to hear a little more about this process! How do you keep track? What numbers do you look for?

I'm wondering less about how you add/subtract numbers and more about how you calculate those numbers to begin with. I don't know what deficit to look for, or how to reconfigure my plans, etc.0
