How do you track calories weekly?

I've seen some people say that they keep track of their deficits by the week, rather than by the day, and I'd love to hear a little more about this process! How do you keep track? What numbers do you look for?

    Calculator. If you want all your macros and things it might be easier to copy & paste to a spreadsheet.

    I'm wondering less about how you add/subtract numbers and more about how you calculate those numbers to begin with. I don't know what deficit to look for, or how to reconfigure my plans, etc.
