Date Your Fitness
I was walking my dog this morning, and this came to my heart to share with those starting (or are still in) their fitness journey. I believe a fit lifestyle should progress over time, similar to dating a new romantic interest. Trying to do too much too fast could be fun and exciting at first, but then usually results in…

Do you remember your first?
... Your first NSV? My first NSV was when I was able to cross my legs under my desk! It's funny how something so simple had such a impact on my journey. So, do you remember your first NSV (non scale victory)?

How Did You Get Here?
What inspired you to join MFP.com? I had to think about how I got here and remembered that I found this site from a Google search about why my feet got numb on the ellliptical machine! I wasn't the only one and I felt like I would be welcomed. 2 years later and I'm still here! What's your story?

The Last Layer of Fat ...
Hi MFP Fam - I need some guidance to shed my last layer of fat... Here's my situation - After P90X, Insanity, TurboJam, and TurboFire (1yr 9mos total), I've lost 32 lbs and about 21 inches. I have 10 lbs (7 inches) to go, what do I need to do to get there? It feels like TurboFire and a calorie deficit helps me maintain,…

It really does take a village...
A village of Beach Body coaches that is! P90X, a little Insanity, and TurboJam got me here. I'm doing TurboFire right now to get the "beach body" I want by summer. 17 months down, only a few more to go... What's your Turbo Fire Heart Rate?
Hola! I'm thinking about buying Turbo Fire, but I'm curious if my HR will be to high for efficient fat burn on this program. Can you share your age/avg HR/max HR for some of those workouts? I ask because I took the Turbo Kick class at 24HR and my HR was super high. For Polar HRM users: I'm supposed to keep my HR in Zone 1…

MFP(1 year) + P90X(9 months) = -22lbs
One year ago, I decided to change my life, and I'm SO glad I did! Self determination, family, faith, MyFitnessPal.com, and 3 rounds of P90X got me here. It's SO scary looking back, but it definitely puts perspective on how far I've come. I'm about halfway to my goal, so by next Summer/Fall I'll have my "Bikini Nikki" body…

MFP + P90X(3) = OMG!!!
One year ago, I decided to change my life. Self determination, family, faith, MyFitnessPal.com, and 3 rounds of P90X got me here. It's SO scary looking back, but it definitely puts perspective on how far I've come. MFP + P90X(3) + Insanity(x) = ??? I'll let you know when I get there. Don't have an end date set, and I'm not…

Do boyfriends = weight gain?
So, ladies and gents, any advice on how to balance fitness, clean eating, and a healthy relationship (amongst other life responsibilities)? I'm asking because I mysterously plateaued when I started dating this guy, then from the upset of not losing weight, I ended up gaining 8 lbs! My goal weight is somewhere between…

Too much muscle confusion = plateau?
I'm 11 months into P90X Lean/Lean + and I've hit a plateau that's lasted over 3 months already. Isn't the "muscle confusion" in this program supposed to PREVENT plateauing? I started at 189 lbs and I'm currently 164 lbs. I'm 5'2". Now, I've lost a total of 15 inches from my chest, waist, and hips, but I expected to be…

Scared to weigh in...
I haven't worked out since Thursday and I kinda ate everything I felt like eating over the weekend... now I'm afraid to weigh in and see the damage. Your thoughts... should I suck it up and weigh in, or just wait until next week?

Slow & Satisfied vs. Quick & Miserable
For the past 2 weeks I've been eating under my 1200 calories, and eventhough I wasn't starving, I was regularly hungry. I lost a total of 6 lbs, but I gained 3 back because I overate during the weekends from being so hungry. So I basically learned the hard way that I need to eat to satisfy my hunger and not eat less to…

P90X - Week 2
I didn't quite follow the rules on week one. I started on a Wednesday and played catch-up, but I'm doing the Lean cycle here on out. I'm not a fan of the cardio or yoga workouts, so I opt for the elliptical trainer at the gym on those days. My favorite workout so far: Shoulders/Arms. Ab Ripper X is another story... Goal…

P90X - Day 89
Greetings MFP world! Well, my secret is out... I'm on the wagon! I have my goal in mind and I'm letting you know so you can check in on me from time to time. I tried P90X once before and crapped out after 3 weeks. I didn't go swimming at all this summer, so in 89 days, I'll be Bikini Nikki (in sweats that is)...
