Red Raspberry Tea Leaf
For those of you that have used it or are using it... Do you take the capsules or drink the tea? When during your third trimester did you start taking it? How many times a day did you take it? Did you find it helpful? What brand and strength did you take?

working out in the morning
I've always heard that working out in the morning gets your metabolism going for the day and you burn more calories during the day. Fact or crap? Just wondering...

retaining water!
Yikes, I woke up this morning with fluid retention for the first time this pregnancy. I can't get my ring off and I'm a whole pound heavier than I was last night. Already drinking about 100 oz of water a day. Not sure what else to do to beat the bloat (other than trying to cut back on the sodium.) Any thoughts? What foods…

sugar or fat
I shared this in the food and nutrition board, but I will post it here too to get the perspective of those of you that are also pregnant. Anyone else dealing with this? I find myself having to constantly make decisions during the day based on what I'm more afraid of of; sugar or fat. I want to have a snack, but fruit has…

sugar or fat?
I find myself having to constantly make decisions during the day based on what I'm more afraid of of; sugar or fat. I want to have a snack, but fruit has too much sugar in it, but peanut butter is high in fat. I'm at the point where I don't know where to put my focus. I always go over on sugar based on the fact that I eat…

sodium recovery
Had a super bad sodium day yesterday, and am paying for it this morning. Other than drinking lots of water and watching the salt today, what should I be eating to help get rid of the water retention from a poor nutritional decision yesterday?

caffeine!!!
So I recently discovered that less than 200 mg a day of caffeine is considered safe during pregnancy. Why have I been denying myself it for the last 5 months? I have also read some interesting literature on whether or not caffeine can suppress of increase appetite. Given my "always hungry" pregnant state, I am curious if…

not fitness related, but...
Heart broken this morning. What do you do when someone you know takes your baby name? A name that you have had picked out for three years and have already told your aging grandfather the baby will be name after him. So freaking upset this morning. I can't stop crying.

Just thought I would share.
Growing up my mother never ever fed us sweet potatoes, so they were just never part of my diet. However, I have started eating one every day for the last 7-10 days and my charlie horses and contractions have STOPPED! Just in case anyone else out there is struggling with those nasty things, I thought I would share a little…

low blood pressure
Is anyone out there having really low blood pressure with dizziness? I've been especially tired this morning so I took my blood pressure to find that it was 89/45. Normal for me is a little higher than that, around 95/52. I know I'm active so my blood pressure is normally a little on the low side. However, I don't think…

Trop50?
Is it any good, or does it taste really watered down? Looking to get OJ back into my diet, but not wanting to put up with all the sugar. Thanks, y'all.

wow, accountability actually works!
After slacking off on logging for quite a few months, including the first four months of my pregnancy, I was unhappy about my pregnancy weight gain (20 lbs in 16 weeks). I'm happy to announce that since I started logging I haven't gained any additional weight since my 16 week check-up (now 22 weeks.) Knock on wood that I…

I've discovered zucchini pasta!
http://www.ourbestbites.com/2012/07/zucchini-ribbon-pasta-with-light-creamy-lemon-basil-sauce/ This is an AMAZING dish. I replaced most of the noodles with zucchini, and it was sooooo good! Going to prepare this next week with grilled salmon on top.

out of control day
Just having one of those "feeling like my life is spinning out of control days." Pretty sure I've gained 5 pounds already today from all the stress eating. Just ate a quarter of a chocolate cream pie all by myself, now I feel like I need to take a nap. God, I hate these kinds of day. That's all, just needed to tell someone.

so relieved
Y'all have no idea how happy I am to have found this forum. I've been on MFP for long time (even though right now I'm not updating my weight.) I have been struggling this pregnancy to keep my weight at a healthy level. I started at 115 pounds and have already gained 20 at 20 weeks. I stay active (6 days a week) and eat…

any other preggers out there?

Road trip snacking
It's that time of year again! We will be embarking on a LONG car trip to visit the folks in a few weeks (because we can't afford the airfare). The pitfalls of car trips start to scare me. Lots of fast food, snacking out of boredom and sitting for long stretches at a time. I need some ideas for healthy, delicious snacks we…

how many calories am I actually burning?
I've seen some mention that you can't trust the calories that your elliptical tells you your burning. So, how many calories am I actually burning when I use my machine? If I don't add any resistance I hardly burn anything at all, but I use the setting that use different intervals of resistance. I've been using my…

best recovery foods
So I've overdone it the past few days and now my whole body feels like jello and I can hardly get off the couch today. Its' gonna be a rest day anyway, but I'm wondering what the best things are to eat today to help my body recover for tomorrow.

new here
Hi! This is my first week here on MFP. I'm new to this website, but not to weight-loss. I have lost over 115 pounds over the last two years, but have not been able to finish my goal. I figured I needed a new strategy to help me finish what I started. Looking for new friends that will help keep me accountable and help keep…
