Need some general calorie-tdee- activity level help-> starting mfp again
I used mfp with my fitbit in the past but had no success with it- I think partly because I didn't really understand the TDEE thing. What did help me was writing everything down in a food journal manually and just using my BMR. I've learned that this is not healthy and I want to start using mfp again and I want to do it…

MFP Activity level question
So I calculated my TDEE with the handy dandy link that was posted here http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/931670/bmr-and-tdee-explained-for-those-needing-a-guide/p1 I work 28 hours a week- 4 days a week. I am on my feet for those 28 hours and those 4 days I consistently get over 6k steps so when I chose my…

Most "unusual" pet you've ever had?
Not "that" unusual, but I've had a mouse and a rat, and they were by far the best pets I've ever had. Besides the Chihuahua I have now, who is by far the best cuddler.

Eating Disorder recovery- it IS possible! My story
I was a chubby kid and tired of people making fun of me. When I was 13-14 I started exercising and eating healthy, however I soon spun out of control. I remember the exact date I started slipping into an eating disorder. I had lost a good amount of weight and was finally in a healthy BMI range, but after I had ( a healthy…

Need opinions on stalled weight/switch back to sedentary
When it is set on lightly active ( I know I'm not sedentary during the week, during the week I walk an average of 7-9k steps, usually more actually) and I get 1600 cals. However, the last few weeks my weight has not moved at all...with constant badminton playing which has been making me burn 400-700 cals per game and I…

i'm a bit confused on my allowed calories per day on MFP
I used to calculate this all myself and write this down in a notebook and today I confused the crap out of myself. My BMR is 1740 MFP gives me 1600 to eat everyday and my TDEE is 2360 BUT if I eat 1600 a day-1740= is only -140. So technically don't I need to up my workouts and get to -500 a day then? Thanks all!

I hate when people refer to mfp as a diet
My parents, my roommates, and I are all doing MFP and have all lost weight but it annoys the crap out of me when people call this a "diet" and think I can't eat what I want. B**** you don't know my life! hahah No but seriously, people don't get that you really have to change your lifestyle and make sacrifices and not…

Which activity level am I?
I just recently changed my activity level to lightly active as I walk quite a bit to get to class every day. According to my fitbit I walk between 6-10K steps daily. Do you guys think this would be counted as lightly active? I just don't want to have it on a level too high and eat too much thanks ya'll!

Do you change your fitness level setting on diff days?
I changed my fitness level to lightly active when I'm at school because I walk a good 10-11k steps daily during the school week, but I just went home for the weekend and realized I'm not going to be this active these next two days. Should I change it back to sedentary while I'm at home for the weekend? Do you guys ever…

What do you do with your fitbit when you're not wearing it?
I just got the fitbit yesterday and after I got ready for bed and wasn't wearing a bra or pants anymore I just laid it on my nightstand till I want to go to sleep but it seems to still be counting calories. The only other thing I can think of is putting it back on its charging pod. What do you guys do when you're not…

Fitbit calories burned+ bmr question!
I ordered a fitbit and I actually haven't received it yet but I've been doing some research on the calories burned and I have a question. Currently my bmr is 1755. So if I were to wear the fitbit and I burned 1500 cals a day and I ate 2200 would this be correct? 2000-1755=245-1500=-1255 That seems WAY too low. OR is it…
