What do you do with your fitbit when you're not wearing it?

I just got the fitbit yesterday and after I got ready for bed and wasn't wearing a bra or pants anymore I just laid it on my nightstand till I want to go to sleep but it seems to still be counting calories. The only other thing I can think of is putting it back on its charging pod. What do you guys do when you're not wearing it? Put it on the charging pod even when its still charged?
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

Well, it still counts calories because it knows what your BMR is, and it's keeping up with that, regardless of movement.
When I'm sleeping, I wear the wrist band and track my sleep as well... I'm rarely NOT wearing it to be honest... When I shower I charge it.... every few days.
Love your fitbit!0 -
It should have come with a wristband that allows you to wear it on your arm to track your sleep... I used mine like that for a while - until I misplaced the armband... tho truth be told, I could probably get a wristband from the store (the type used in some sports like tennis, etc...). At any rate, until I start using it to track sleep again, I keep mine on the charger at night - that way I always know where it is...0

It counts calories when it's not on you because your body is still burning calories for your organs to function. You'll also notice when you first put it on in the morning from it's place on your night stand that you'll have already burned some - this is whatever your body takes to function while you sleep.
I usually keep mine on the wristband while I sleep, but haven't been doing that lately because my sleep is quite good and I don't need to monitor it very much any more.
During the day, though, my fitty is with me everywhere I go, except in the shower. Don't want to miss any steps!!!0 -
That makes sense, I actually didn't even think about that. I kept looking at it thinking how did I burn 10 calories laying on the night stand? ha ha
I'm still trying to figure the whole thing out but so far I like it! My mother has one and she LOVES it and so I went ahead and purchased one too0
