Fitbit calories burned+ bmr question!

I ordered a fitbit and I actually haven't received it yet but I've been doing some research on the calories burned and I have a question.
Currently my bmr is 1755.
So if I were to wear the fitbit and I burned 1500 cals a day and I ate 2200 would this be correct?
2000-1755=245-1500=-1255
That seems WAY too low.
OR is it that the calories burned on the fibit would be what I subtract from my eaten calories? ( but if the bmr is how much you burn laying still then why would I only subtract what I burned wearing the fitbit all day?)
Thank you guys in advance!

I'm a little confused by your question. Every time you look at your fitbit, it will show you how many calories you have burned TOTAL throughout the day: this includes the calories you burn just by being alive (bmr) plus what you've burned through exercise.
So, whatever your fitbit says at the end of the day is how many burned. So for example if it says you burned 2200 and you're trying to have a 500 calorie deficit, you would eat 1700 that day.0 -
You are over thinking this.
How I do it is I'll wear the fitbit and have a regular breakfast.
At noon check your number.
For example yesterday at 1200 noon I had in 1358.
I run a retail store and we were busy.
1358/12=113cals per hour since midnight.
I can expect to burn appx 2400-2600 for that day.
Last night I closed out my diary and logged fitbit cals at 2767.
Since i'm cutting calories I had about 2200.
success.
Now if your BMR is 1755 and if you are working out about 3-5x a week, your TDEE is going to be about 2500-2700 daily.
So shoot for 20% below that for fat loss/muscle retention.
If muscle gains is what you want yuoll want to eat about 20% above TDEE.
Anywho....
It takes about 2 weeks to get a good average from Fitbit.com.
My average is 2500 daily.
i'm 5'6".0 -
So the calories burned that it will say on the fitbit are my bmr AND exercise calories?
so it would be for example
fitbit says 2200 cals
I ate 1800
1800-2200=-400?0
