MFP ALREADY GIVES YOU A CALORIE DEFITCIT- EAT CALORIES!
It is driving me crazy at how many people are asking why they should eat their exercise calories. I see this same post EVERYDAY instead of people searching for previous posts on this topic, they clog up the forum with the same question every single day, MFP already gives you a calorie deficit when you choose to lose 1 lb,…

Non-Scale Victory!!!
I have two pairs of the same jeans. I have one in a 19 and one in a 17 (Yes, I carry most of my excess weight in my butt lol). At christmas I couldn't even button up the 17s and now they fit perfectly. I cannot even wear the 19s anymore because they are HUGE in the legs! I was SOOOOOO HAPPY!

Cleaning Gym Equipment?
I am about to start going to the gym. I was wondering if you have to clean every machine after you use them. I have heard that it is gym etiquette to clean each machine after use. Doesn't that interfere with your heartrate though? And my gym has a circuit section so if you had to do 3-5 minutes at each machine for 30…

HRMs getting mixed up?
I went to the gym for the first time today with my partner and we noticed that when I was jogging on the treadmill and she was standing there, her heart rate monitor was reading my heart rate! It said her heart rate was at 166 and she was standing there. Has anybody else had this happen??? This is going to be a problem…

EA Active Sports VS. My new Polar FT40 HRM...
I just received my new white Polar FT40 in the mail today and decided to put it to the test against the results EA Sports Active 2 gives me. I burned double the calories of what EA active sports said I was burning and for 10 more minutes than the game said. Here are the results... EA Sports Results: Calories burned: 245…

Thinking about starting Couch 2 5k program?
I am thinking about starting the couch to 5k program. To those of you who have done it, did you measure your runs by time or distance? I see u can do it both ways. The only reservation I have had is that in October I hurt my knee so bad trying to run that I couldn't walk at all for a few weeks. I think I might have pushed…

Could this amount burned be correct?
I just got a MIO heart rate monitor watch that also uses your heart rate to calculate calories burned and more. Well, I just did 28 minutes of EA Active sports (the 9 week fitness program... one of the training sessions) and it said I burned a whopping 458 calories!!! Could that possibly be correct??? The game said I…

What do you think about this snack?
I discovered today that you can eat a huge amount of pirate's booty for one serving (1oz). I used a scale I just got today and found that out. Does anyone else eat that for a snack?

Too much sugar in fruits?
I make a fruit shake for breakfast every morning to get my fruits in. My shake makes me go over my sugar allowance before I eat anything else. My weight loss has come to a stand still & I'm wondering if that could b why? I use 1 banana, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1/4 cup fresh blueberries, and 1/2 cup milk. How can that…

BMR VS. MFP daily caloric allowance
okay... I am confused. MFP's BMR calculator says I need about 1600 calories a day just to support my basic bodily functions if I just stayed in bed all day and did nothing just to live. I told MFP I wanted to lose 2 pounds a week and they r telling me to eat 1200 calories a day. I know that if u eat below your amount for…

Feels good to be back in the 180s!
I was about 183 three and a half years ago. That is about the last time I saw the 180s. I weighed in at 189.5 this morning and even though that is barely in the 180s, it felt REALLY good to see that on the scale. I mean come on, I started this at 202 and was just glad to get out of the 200s. Now I am back down. My real…

My New Favorite Breakfast/Snack Food
I have found a love for fruit shakes! They are supposed to be good for your skin, weight, get your daily allotment in, and good for your overall health. I get my fruits and calcium in at the same time. Banana and Raspberry Shake 1 Medium Banana 5 Raspberries 1/2 Cup Milk (I use 2%) Splenda (I use 3 packets but I like my…

I have a new favorite lunch meal
I just thought I'd share because I eat these almost everyday! I've been taking a boneless skinless chicken breast and cooking it on the stove while seasoning it with hot chili powder or Cajun seasoning. I cut it up into bite size pieces and put it on a fajita size flour tortilla shell. Then, I dice about a 1/2 cup of onion…

Anybody find anything decent at a restaurant
My mom, dad, and brother are off today and we are supposed to be going out to eat at a restaurant. We haven't decided where yet. Does anybody know of any restaurants/meals they have at certain ones that are not that bad? I do not like steak or fish which makes searching for something "better" than others hard. Thanks!

What are some exercises if you have an injured knee?
I was wondering if any of you have any exercises you can think of that I could do since I injured my knee? I can barely walk. All I can ever think of are crunches and pushups. Oh yeah, and I do not have access to a pool.

What exercises to do?

I am not losing any weight!
It is my second week and I am getting very frustrated! I do some sort of exercise everyday and I stay under my caloric, fat, carb, sodium, saturated fat goal everyday! The only one I don't stay under is protein because I heard protein just helps muscles, and that it doesn't make you gain weight like everything else.…

Hoping and Praying!
This is my first week. I started Monday and have been doing the program for 6 days. I have ALREADY lost 3 pounds and have gone from 202 to 199. I am hoping to lose 16-24 pounds by Christmas. That equals out to about 2-3 lbs. a week.

Just started a few days ago
Hello everyone, Today is my third day doing this tracker. I decided I want to lose 20 pounds by Christmas. I know it is going to be hard, but I know I can do it if I keep on track. After that I want to keep going down until I reach a healthy weight. I am tired of being tired all the time, no self-esteem, and unhealthy…
