Noom
A lot of ads have suddenly appeared on social media for Noom - anyone know what it is and/or tried it? Just curious as I have already lost enough to be within sniffing distance of my 'happy' weight using mfp to monitor my intake and log activity.

Uncooked pasta
Hi people - after years of using mfp databases suddenly I don't seem to be able to find a clear entry for Tesco's spaghetti - uncooked weight. I may be havign a thick day but their own website is equally unclear. Can anyone help? It is a standard durum wheat spaghetti. Thanks in hope

52lbs gone - My story!
This is a bit long so please feel free to ignore. I would love to be able to own the story – 50lbs lost in 6 months – or even a year. But I can’t – my story has been much slower and full of hills and valleys with a few flat prairies in between I was a skinny child – known in the family as ‘Weed’ as I grew fast and was…

Tuna steak
I have been confused and befuddled with the variation in calorie values for Tuna steak - I have a Tuna steak (150g raw weight) and have found values between 185 and 366 on the database. I cooked it on a Foreman grill with nothing added so am safe to use raw weight. On the USDA database it quotes 220 (ish - I have the exact…

Gluten free flour UK
Does anyone in UK use proprietory gluten free flour. I want to bake my hubby a lemon cake for Easter and was thinking about trying Doves or Sainsbury's Free From white self raising flour - interested to hear of people's experience and whether they have any hints.

Weight training UK
My daughter is thinking about starting to lift weights and I wondered what experiences my UK friends had gone through and what advice they could give about gym membership etc. Thanks

Help from UK members
Has anyone got a ceramic frying pan - if so how do you get on with it? My trusty non stick pan (must be 25yrs old) is getting beyond a joke and was thinking of replacing it with one of the new ceramic ones. Opinions from those who have some experience of using one welcomed.

My approach to wine
Years ago I lost 3 stone (42lbs) using Rosemary Conley. I had a lovely 'instructor' who was a lot of fun and full of good information. One of the things she talked about was 'watering' red wine to make it go further (gasps of horror and deep inhalation of breath from those purists out there). I tried it and found that I…

Weighing
I have made the momentous decision to not weigh for a month - I get to worried about small losses and gains. I feel better, have more energy and measure smaller so why should I concern myself with what the scales say. Onwards and upwards (well downwards!). Have a positive day all

Scales dilemma
I have a small problem that I'm not sure how to deal with. When I restarted my healthier lifestyle, after 9 months of ignoring my diet, avoiding exercise and feeling very unfit, I stepped onto my Wii and found myself 17lbs heavier. I was appalled as I knew I may have gained a few pounds but did not feel it was THAT bad.…

Rosemary Conley DVD
I usually do a very energetic walk every day - 30 mins at least of which are up a very steep incline. On those days when I can't make it, to keep me moving I do the Rosemary Conley Megaworkout. I have been counting this as low impact aerobics - does anyone else use it and what do you count it as?

quinoa/rice
Has anyone cooked quinoa and rice together in the same pan? I want to use some quinoa to extend my rice a bit this evening

Having a 'thick' day
I am being really stupid today but cannot find a definitive answer anywhere. Quinoa uncooked weight(dry weight) is listed as both 116cals and 299cals on the database. So I turned to the packet (Tesco's for the Brits) where it only gives me the nutritional info for 100g cooked! I really don't want to have to weight it after…

Eating back exercise calories
I know there has been lots of discussion about this and also some debate about whether the calories given by MFP for exercise are realistic. However I am curious as to whether anyone is having success just staying within the targets given my MFP including eating back most of the exercise calories. I do not have any fancy…
