My awesome NSV
I shared the following with my mfp friends and thought, well, why not put it out there for all to read. After all, it is a major NSV. Friends! I have some news I'd like to share with you all. Yesterday, I received a job offer, which I accepted. I'm so buzzed right now! I had the interview 2 weeks ago and I've been a bag of…

Day 13
Now my children are back to school, it makes sense to get my workouts done in the morning, so that's what I've done. I'm still not able to do a "proper" push up, so I'll carry on with girly ones. I was feeling the punches today.

Rest day is tomorrow folks, lets get busy! I'm really feeling it in my arms since I started using a resistance band. No idea what the poundage is I'm resisting but my biceps ache a lot afterwards. Have a good day.

Day 5
Back to it this morning. I don't have hand held weights but I do have resistance bands so I used them today to do the bicep curls. Really made a difference. I've found some really interesting exercises using resistance bands, so I may incorporate these into my workout routine in future. Hope you all have a good day…

Rest day
I appreciate some may not feel the need to take a rest day but for me, I think it's important so as not to burn myself out (I have other challenges going on too). If you do decide to take advantage of the rest day, enjoy :drinker:

Word Association game
Hi people, lets keep at these squats. I know I feel good each day for completing them  I thought I'd add a new game for you to try. It's called word association, hopefully you've heard of it and know how to play it. I'll start with a word and you follow with a word that is associated with my word e.g if I put EGG…

Day 2
Today's challenge complete  I struggled with the leg lift because after doing them yesterday, I hadn't noticed my mid stomach area was aching until I went to repeat the leg lift today. I could really feel the after affects from yesterday, which is good right? As I struggled with the sit ups yesterday, I decided to…

Hi Guys, Can you believe were nearly done. I did a sneak body measure yesterday and I do believe there's been change, I'll log the results next week. Hope everybody else is doing fine. Sad to see Cindymop having to bail due to health issues, wishing her a speedy recovery. I'm not going to take today as my rest day so I'm…

Day 21, July 21st, 100 squats. CHECK IN
I trust everybody enjoyed the rest day yesterday. I had a very relaxing day sitting in my garden taking in a bit of sun. I made a lovely dinner of Chicken Lasagna which both my husband and two teenage boys agreed was my best yet  I also made some cakes, a recipe of which was given to me by one of my mfp friends,…

Day 17, July 17th, 150 squats. CHECK IN
OMG! 150 squats done in 3 x 50  I was out shopping yesterday and tried on some light coloured cotton trousers but I wasn't happy with how my bum looked in them (or maybe I had just had on the wrong underwear). I thought "my bum needs more work" before I'm happy wearing cotton trouser. So today I really put more…

NSV
I was chatting with my adult daughter earlier today (she lives in Australia) and she told me she was telling her work colleagues all about my weight loss journey etc. She showed them 2 pictures of me, one from 7 months ago and one recent one and they all agreed I look 10 years younger  . I don't necessarily feel 10…

REST DAY
Here we are half way through this month already and aren't we all doing so well? Big pat on the back to all fellow squatters :drinker: I've got myself into a fairly good routine now and get them out the way first thing. I'm not sure if they're having any affect but I feel good for doing them. I enjoy checking out the…

Guten Tag from Munich, Germany  We're nearly half way through this month's challenge and I'm feeling really confident about finishing it. I trust everybody else is still feeling positive too. It's perhaps at this point the initial excitement may be waning a bit and it's becoming a bit of a chore to get motivated…

Warm up/cool down stretches
Just to remind you ladies to do a few warm up stretches before you tackle the squats and of course cool down stretches too. It will help to avoid sore muscles  Keep going ladies, we can do this

My NSV for today
Today I tried on a pair of small hoop emerald and diamond earrings my husband bought me some years back and they fitted  Previously they were just too tight to fit comfortably over my earlobes and I couldn't wear them. I'm going to start wearing them as they match my eternity ring. Who'd have thought you lose weight…

My latest NSV
I left my house this morning to do my usual trip to the shop. As I pushed my bicycle out of the garage, a neighbour of mine (who is German and I'm English, so we hardly communicate at all apart from the odd nod of the head), stopped me and gestured that I looked slim  I ended up talking to her (in pigeon Germlish)…

NSV for today
I think this counts as an NSV. It's approaching late evening where I am and about 1hr ago, after closing my diary for the day, I really had the urge to eat biscuits which would take me over on my cals for the day. I became very anxious and fidgety and just couldn't get them out of my head. Anyway, I recall reading on here…

Who's sharing a birthday with me today?
Yay, it's my birthday today, 49 years young :drinker:  In January 2013, when I first joined mfp, I gave myself 18 months to lose the extra weight I carried (37.5lb) before I turned 50. So I'm very happy to not only have reached my goal but exceeded it 1 whole year before my initial target date. I can relax and enjoy…

Ran my first 5K today
 After completing C25K mid March, I ran my first official 5K Fun Run today. I crossed the line at 33.42 which I'm very happy with as I predicted 40 mins. I'm glad I covered a few hilly sessions in my training leading up to this run as there were 2 fairly steep inclines to endure. The weather was superb. Sunny, warm…
