Another Question for Garmin Vivoactive HR
So I did a cardio class this morning....it recorded my class just based on steps and HR I guess. Said I had 190 active calories. Is there another more accurate way to record a cardio class. I don't see an option for class workout on the watch.

Eating back calories when already at a deficit
So I manually figured my BMR and TDEE calories. My BMR is 1338 calories, my TDEE based on my activity is around 1900. I have my calories set for the day at 1338...so should I eat my exercise calories back since I am already at a deficit? Just curious. I am trying to lose about 7 -10 pounds and have been playing around with…

Exercise Calories
Does anyone know if there is a way to change your settings so MFP does not revise your daily calorie goal to reflect exercise calories? I can figure what I have left, but would rather set it not to add my exercise calories back in.

Scale won't budge
I was successful 10 years ago in losing about 100 pounds. Within the past year and a half, I took up running and seemed to have gained about 5-6 pounds. My legs feel bigger. My clothes still fit, however I can't figure out how to lose this 5-6 pounds. I have cross training class twice a week and run 4-5 days a week for a…

logging pedometer steps
This is for anyone who uses a pedometer. I just wore one for the first time today because I was curious as to how far I walk during the day at my job. As of right now I am at 3.72 miles or 5900 steps for the day. I have never counted this before. I usually exercise and record either first thing in the morning or in the…

Calories from daily activity
Can anyone tell me what exactly the MFP calories from daily activities is? Is this the BMR? Mine says 1680 and I currenlty have my calories set at 1450 per day. So if it is BMR, should we use a multiplier to figure out what the TDEE is and then subtract 20% of that?

Nutrition Ratio

Muscle gain
How can you accurately determine if you have gained muscle and not fat. I figured my BMR to be 1360.45 calories and my TDEE based on my activity to be 2108. I have set my calories at 1400 per day and have not lost any weight at all. I have actually gained about 4-5 pounds over the last 8 months or so. I actually started…

Mine feel like they are swollow, although there is no discloloration or anything like that. No soreness either, but they do feel somewhat larger than normal.

Muscle v. gaining
How can you actually tell if you are gaining muscle weight. I have been working out 6 days a week for the past month (running, cardio and 2-3 days of weights). I have actually gained weight which is the exact opposite of what I thought would happen. Very frustrating. My clothes are fitting the same and I actually have some…

Losing muscle mass
I have lost about 100 pounds and have quite a bit of muscle tone. I had been as low as 124 pounds and now range anywhere from 131-133. I suspect it is not weight gain because I am very conscious about my diet, so I know it is muscle mass. I am 5'2 and my body has a tendancy to bulk up. Any tips on how to lose some of the…

adjusting your BMR with Total Daily Expenditure
I have been obsessing lately over the fact that I am totally plateaued. I was doing 1200 calories per day then bumped it up to 1330 and no weight loss. I am a pretty muscular person, so I don't know if some of the 2-5 lb. weight gain is from that. Anyway, I was going by what MFP recommended for calorie intake. I found a…
