Sushi

A lot of the sodium comes from the soy sauce the sushi rolls are dipped in.
Sushi can be low calorie - depending on what the ingredients are. The simpler rolls that contain fish, rice, and seaweed are generally lower calorie than a dynamite roll which contains deep fried shrimp in it.
Sashimi is just the fish so it is lower in calories.
Sodium isn't too much of a concern unless you have blood pressure problems or other issues that would cause you to monitor it. It may cause bloat/water retention, but that is only temporary and can be alleviated by increasing water consumption.3 -
It doesn't get much healthier than just a piece of fish. Beyond that, it just depends on what you add.0

Sushi is a pretty broad category.
I typically have salmon sashimi, shrimp nigiri and one specialty roll that I know doesn't have a crap ton of either sugar or salt.
Then I look at how much soy sauce I'm having, since that's loaded with sodium.0
