So I did a cardio class this morning....it recorded my class just based on steps and HR I guess. Said I had 190 active calories. Is there another more accurate way to record a cardio class. I don't see an option for class workout on the watch.

I use the chest strap when I'm doing cardio classes and without for better accuracy on calories burn...it's spot on.
As far as options on your watch, you can add strength or another cardio function.

You can download other apps I think (I have a different model but I assume downloadable apps are the same). I have GymTimer and use that for most things.0

What makes you think that 190 is inaccurate, and what do you think would a more accurate answer might be?
There is a material question about what type of class it was?
Fwiw neither step count nor HR are particularly meaningful in estimating calorie burn in a class context.0 -
You can add exercises to your garmin...let me see if I can find the link....0
