Does anyone know if there is a way to change your settings so MFP does not revise your daily calorie goal to reflect exercise calories? I can figure what I have left, but would rather set it not to add my exercise calories back in.

Either don't log the exercise, or edit the calories burn to 1.

Completely agree. I never log my workouts here. Myfitnesspal is strictly for food for me.

I logged exercise as 1 for a while, then realized there was no point in logging 1. I don't log it at all anymore, strictly for food.

In the little box where it says the number of calories burned - before you hit add just type over the number and change it to 1 from whatever it was showing. Then you have the log of what you did but not the calories.

i generally log strength work as 1

if you dont want to eat back your exercise calories... dont eat them, dont log the exercise, or change everything to 1

Burning significant calories through workouts and not fueling for that work is a metabolic disaster waiting to happen. If you’re talking about a few hundred calories, then no biggie. But exercise is basically for fitness improvement (cardiovascular, endurance, strength, balance, speed, agility, etc.).

I’ve never understood working out just to burn calories. You’re paying for your food. Just eat less.

Thank you so much. For some reason, I couldn't figure that out!

Why not just enter your exercise at the end of the day when you are done eating for the day? this way you keep track of what you have burned and you wouldn't have eaten any of your calories back if that is your goal.

Use the notes section at the bottom of your log for exercises.
