Ugh, a little frustrated....I started training for a 1/2 marathon last week. I have run 22 miles in the last two weeks....3 days running, 3 days cross-training and one day rest and have gained two pounds....

I thought I would actually lose a little more with the additional bump up in cardio activity....ugh.

Unless you're eating 7000 calories over what you're burning for that time period then it's water weight.

It's probably just your muscles trying to repair after all that running

^^ I agree with the above poster. Water weight. Up your cardio if you're feeling super bloated and see if that helps. I do a lot of weight training and I tend to gain a lot of water weight when that's my main workout. If I start to feel way too bloated I up my cardio and rest the weights for a few days. Good luck!
