75 lbs in 2 & 1/2 months (Still long road ahead)
I want to share to everyone a story about me that continues today. On August 4th me and my wife started our weight loss journey. People deal with depression and anxiety in different ways. Me it was food. Ever since Junior High I was a big person. My Anxiety stemmed from my shyness in school, low self esteem and my…

Swimming underwater (Sinus Issue)
I am desperate. I looked online for an answer and it feels like I am the only one in the world with this issue. When I swim underwater at my local pool and hold my breath, water enters into my upper sinus and I instantly get a painful and burning sensation in my upper sinus (Eyebrows) and takes minutes to recover from the…

Recumbent Bike (Stationary) Calories Burned help
This bike seems to be an enigma. Seems like there is no consensus on how many calories you burn on this machine. What I do know is that it gave me that most satisfying workout as I sweated BUCKETS for 30 minutes, with automatic alternating resistance levels. I could barely talk as I keep a pace of 19 KPH. I ended up with a…

Bloodwork back, good and bad news
Good news: No Diabetes! (I caught it in time!) Bad news: My cholesterol is high I have to take the good with the bad I suppose. I just wish MFP differentiated between good and bad cholesterol in the diary option, so I know what I can and cannot have.

Week #7 of watching calories, something strange is going on
I'm not hungry for breakfast anymore. Literally. The last two days, I have no desire for eating in the morning. This is causing me to try and ramp my calories in the evening, and I hate doing that. Anyone else going through this?

Going swimming for the first time in YEARS
Currently 443lbs, lost 56lbs so far, but I'm developing plantar fasciitis from walking so I'm going to a lower impact type of exercise. My wife is coming with me, but God am I nervous going back into the pool with no shirt on. Any tips? I just hope there isn't an old cranky whaler out there with a harpoon gun haha :)

So thin or huge you only get 2,300 sodium a day
This makes it easier for someone thinner to reach their sodium goals since they have less to eat. But for a big guy like myself, I have to eat more, but still stay under my sodium. Life is unfair at times. :(

Warning: Potato nutrition information
So we scan everything, including the potato bags. One bag from Costco It states that a potato is 80 calories! So I would have 2 and would be happy and amazed that the calories were so low. We got suspicious when we bought a different brand of potato and noticed the calories was substantially higher. So we investigated and…

I don't know what is real and what is fake with websites and people claiming that they lost 200+ lbs of weight loss with little to no excess skin. Have fitbit ONE less than a day and already fustrated
I was a Endomondo Pro user with a IPhone 4 and I decided to try the Fitbit ONE. The damn thing strives to be so user friendly that it actually becomes an annoyance. Picky eater, trying to lower water retention in body
Okay, so I am nailing my calories. Not a problem. But because I am a picky eater, my sodium is usually in the red @ 2200 mg. Which is fine as I know I'm losing "Fat weight". But I want to lose water weight by equalizing it with potassium. So I want to go over my daily recommended Potassium. Which is 3500 mg. So, my aim…
