Today was my first day working out with my FitBit (Flex) on. Do I enter the calories burned (what the treadmill and elliptical tell me) into MFP or does the FitBit automatically calculate the calories burned?

How to calculate biking w/a trailer (+1 kid)?
Is there some sort of equation I can use to get a rough estimate of how many calories burned while biking and pulling my child in the trailer? I can use an app on my phone to caculate avg speed cycled and distance.

How long before you noticed a change?
I just (re)started my journey to a healthier me last weekend, but I know myself and I know I'll be discouraged quickly if I don't see some sort of results.
