Setting my goals/calories/activity
I am trying to figure out how many calories I should be eating. I do one hour of Crossfit or Bootcamp Mon-Fri mornings then work at a bank during the day. And I also run 3-5 miles one weekend day. Once I get home I have three young children so I don't sit down til at least 9pm. I don't have a HRM to actually track calorie…

Stress fracture?
I am having pain on the top of my left foot, where the middle toe and second toe meet the foot. It hurts to the touch, when I lift those toes up, and even this morning when I was doing lunges and "pushing off with that foot". Could this possibly be a stress fracture? Just icing it and no running this weekend are probably…

Balancing it all out
Hey everyone, I am currently doing the New Rules of Lifting for Women for the second time. I used to only do cardio, as in running almost 40 miles a week. Back in Oct, I started the NROL and saw great results. I finished the program, took a couple weeks off and started back again about mid march. Mind you, since about Feb,…

Weight gain after starting to lift
I just started a lifting program last week and have noticed a weight gain of about 2-3lbs. Normal? Water retention? Will this go down after my body "gets used" to the program?

Started NROLFW
I started the NROLFW program on Monday and I'm excited to see my results. The only thing I'm trying to figure out is if I should continue to run like I have been. I currently run 20-25 miles a week, but am unsure if I should continue that based on what I've read in the book. Thoughts?

What should I do
I'm pretty much at my goal weight.. I have fluctuations of about 5 pounds but pretty much am there. I run 3-4x a week and do DVD's 3 days a week. I am wanting to lean out and have better muscle definition so am wanting to start lifting weights, not just using the dumbbells along with the DVD. I keep hearing about…

Routine question
I am planning on incorporating Stronglifts in to my current workout schedule. Right now I have 3 Cardio days and 3 days that I usually do a Jillian Michaels DVD. My question is should I do the Stronglifts along with the dvd? Scrap the dvd all together? Thanks!

feels like work
Over the last month or so I've found myself in a funk. It started with a very stressful family situation and has just snowballed since then. I'm not enjoying this "lifestyle" anymore. I used to love running, working out, eating "right" but in this last month everything just feels like work. I still run and workout, but…

Your favorite Nike running shoes
I usually wear Nike Free's but have had a hard time as of late finding a good pair. I'm not sure what the deal is, they just aren't feeling right. I run about 25-30 miles a week. I really like Nikes and was wondering if there is a pair some other runners like? I don't like the lunarglides or airmax. My first pair I used…

Stress gain
I had a VERY emotional and stressful week last week and even though I continued to exercise and tried to stay on point calorie wise, I put on 5lbs. I started back to my regular "food plan" yesterday and my exercise routine today. Any ideas of how long this is going to hang around? It seems like all the weight is right in…

IIFYM or MFP
When I put in my numbers on MFP to maintain I get 1610 but when I put them in the IIFYM calculator I got 1734. Does anyone know which is more accurate?

My farthest run yet!
Little back story: I started running about two years ago but really amped it up about 9 months ago and so far my longest run has been 7.5 miles, which I do 2x a week, with various 4.5mi runs the rest of the week. Well, I have been staying at my parents' house this week because my husband is out of town and they live near a…

Deciding on your macros?
How does one decide what their macros should be set at? I'm only looking to lose a few more pounds, I run about 20-25 miles a week and do a Jillian michaels workout DVD 3 days a week. 5'2, roughly 106lbs.

"Vacation"
I'm not really on vacation but since my husband is out of town, I'm staying at my parents house. They have been making so much good stuff for dinners and have tons of snacks that I don't usually keep in the house. I swear I'm going to gain ten pounds in the 4 days I'm staying with them! I'm still logging my food but…

Personal best.... After pizza.
Well not immediately after pizza. But last night we ordered pizza for the first time in several months and I ate four slices. It was great. So when I woke up this morning for my run I expected to feel a little bloated maybe, a little rough. Nope. Broke several of my records. Guess my body needed that extra fuel??

Foot pain
I've been running for two years and never had an injury so this is quite confusing. Last night I took my daughter out in her stroller and walked about 2 miles. When I got home and took my shoes off, the right side of my right foot (starts at midpoint and goes back to the heel) was kind of hurting. Didn't bother me really…

stomach bug then weight gain??
I have been horribly sick since Thursday and pretty much all weekend. However when I weighed in this morning I was up 3lbs? A little confused by this...Thoughts on what is going on?

nike+ running app
Does anyone else have issues with the GPS on this app? It seems like it doesn't track my entire run. How accurate is the accelerometer vs the GPS? Thanks!

Your body just says "No"?
Do you think it's possible for your body to just "decide" what weight it wants to be? I've hit my goal weight I guess but still flucuate between it and about 3 lbs over. Honestly, I'd be happy to get a few pounds under my goal weight so my fluctuations put me at goal weight. But maybe my body doesn't want to get down that…

Monday binging
I'm not sure why, but Mondays seem to be my unintentional "binge day", where I want to eat everything in sight! Anyone else have a certain day/time when they're more prone to over indulging?

Strength training at home
I currently work out 6 days a week (3 days of a workout dvd, like 30 day shred, and run at least 4 miles the other 3 days) but I am wanting to incorporate some more strength training exercises. I feel like my body is getting used to the Jillian Michaels dvds since I've done them so many times before. I am needing some at…

What should I log?
I know this is asked a lot, but what should I log as activity level? I am a bank teller, on my feet off and on, but then have three kids and a house to run so I go nonstop til they are in bed at night. I work out 6 days a week. Do I log that I am active and then not enter calories burned from exercise? Or sedentary and…

How did you decide?
How did everyone decide they wanted to switch from losing weight to just maintaining? I'm trying to figure it out for myself. Thanks!
