Balancing it all out

Hey everyone, I am currently doing the New Rules of Lifting for Women for the second time. I used to only do cardio, as in running almost 40 miles a week. Back in Oct, I started the NROL and saw great results. I finished the program, took a couple weeks off and started back again about mid march. Mind you, since about Feb, my diet has been crap. I could give you excuses for eating poorly but regardless, I could've been eating better. So, I decided to start logging again to keep myself in check. I honestly don't have a lot of weight to lose, just more body comp I guess. Anyway, when I started my lifting routine, I obviously cut back on my running because honestly, my body just couldn't handle running 10 miles multiple times a week and this routine. So usually my week looks like this: MWF I do lifting and Sat and Sun I try to at least get a 3 mi run in each day. Now that it is warming up, I'd like to maybe run on a Tues or Thurs as well. Is this too much? Thanks.

If you've routinely run 10 miles multiple times in the week, I don't think that 3 miles 4x/week is too much. Just be sure to eat enough to fuel your workouts. Listen to your body and rest when needed--you might find that adding just one more run works best or you might be fine with both.0
