stomach bug then weight gain??

I have been horribly sick since Thursday and pretty much all weekend. However when I weighed in this morning I was up 3lbs? A little confused by this...Thoughts on what is going on?

I don't know why this happened, however the same thing happened to me last year. I was barely able to eat or drink for 7 days and went up 5 pounds. I feel your pain. I hope you are at least feeling better. It's most likely some sort of inflamation in the body. Keep drinking your water and hopefully in a few days you will see the scale go back to normal.

Inflammation and water retention. Your body will settle down in a few days. The same thing happened when I had food poisoning last year -- I was sick for 24 hours straight, then lived on crackers, Sprite and water for a few more days, and still gained a few pounds.

I am very sure! There was a virus running through friends and kids in our neighborhood but even without that, I'm certain I'm not pregnant.

Crackers and sprite has pretty much been my "diet" too.. I guess I'll just stay away from the scale for a few days until I feel human again!
