Is it really important to take a day off from exercising? Or can I just exercise everyday? I only exercise for one hour everyday by fast walking.

wow! I had to see my doctor today (kinda sick for the past week or so) and when I got weighed I almost flipped! I lost 10 lbs since I last weighed myself! I don't have a scale at my house. I use my daughters when I go see her. This was quite a surprise! A happy surprise!

So my heart rate is 165 (age from 220) but how do I figure out how many calories I burn? I was reading in another post that the best way to figure out your calories burned was to use your heart rate. How do treadmill's work? I mean, how does it know how many calories I burn? Does it weigh me when I step on it? Because if I was lighter, I wouldn't burn so many calories no matter how fast or long I walked than if I was heavier. How does it know how much I weigh to calculate the calories I burn? Why does enough sleep aid in weight loss? I would think the opposite would be true because when you're awake you're burning more calories than when you're asleep. Could somebody explain this to me? THANK YOU

I just learned that there is sugar added in milk! I never knew that! PLUS: There is MORE sugar added in 2% milk than regular whole milk! (12 grams in 2% and 11 grams in whole). Lost 1 lb. last week yea me!
Well, I lost 1 pound in one week! And yeah, I'm very happy about that. Actually before I found MFP, I weighed 231, this was in the middle of Feb., then when I checked into MFP I weighed 225, so actually I lost more than just one pound! Yea me!
