One year ago
We went to NYC last April and I was looking at our pics and thought I would share. It's amazing what a difference one year can make. Last year, I felt tired all the time, very self conscious and to be honest, I felt really old at only 32. I always sat around thinking that I could never lose any weight and I resolved to…

I really overdid it today on my eating
Oh friends, I feel so bad about how much I ate today. We ate lunch at an Indian buffet so of course I overate there and tonight we had a family get together and I over indulged, complete with cake and ice cream. It is that time of month so I've been craving the sweets more than ever and now my stomach feels so swollen and…

knee pain?
I've been jogging now for quite a few months so I feel like I've eased into it and on Weds, I bumped up the speed on the treadmill for some interval running. At one point I was doing intervals of up to 8.5 mph and since then I've been having some knee pain in both legs. I've been jogging about 15 miles a week, am I…

Cooking Light Glazed Lemon-Blueberry Bundt cake
I found this recipe in the new issue of Cooking Light, it is delicious. I made it today for our family dinner. My first thought was that the nutritional info was high, 300 calories a slice! but the slices would be huge if you are only cutting 16 which is what the recipe suggests. A nice slice would easily be half that, it…

Maintaining your weight once you have met your goals?
I have heard that it is somewhat harder to maintain weight than it is to lose, have any of you found this to be true? I think the problem that I am having is accepting that I can eat a little more now. I am perfectly happy with the size that I am now and am still keeping up my daily exercise and eating habits. How bad is pumpkin pie?
I made the pumpkin pie recipe on the back of a can of Libby's pumpkin and it happens to be my favorite. I was wondering if anyone knows how "bad" it is? I know the 3/4 cup sugar isn't great, that makes two pies though and I used nonfat evaporated milk. The pie crust for one serving is about 4 grams of fat and 80 calories.…

Wow, careful when you are eating tuna
I brought one of those small pouches to work of Starkist Albacore Tuna in water, so I was adding my mustard and stirring it and I saw something in there. I pulled out a bone that was at least an inch and a half long, curved and sharp!! I have never found a bone in the canned/ pouch tuna before. Careful!! :frown:

drinking plenty of water, does it really aid in weight loss?
I am also another person that has a hard time drinking down plain old water. This is probably a stupid question, but is drinking lots of water highly effective for weight loss? I get so confused by hearing about water retention, water weight, etc that I want to know the facts. My weight loss has slowed down and I think I…
