Running Books
I made a Running Book wish list. I already have Daniel's Running Formula book and Maffetone's 1:59 book. I also have The Runner's World Big Book of Marathon & HM Training. So obviously they won't be on my wish list. Born To Run – Chris McDougall - ISBN-13: 978-0307279187 Advanced Marathoning – Pete Pfitzinger - ISBN-13:…

Hot Climate Runners!
I am new to the Houston area and wondering how to deal with the heat and humidity. Is there ever any "adjusting"? Or should I just plan on sticking with mostly treadmill during summer? I am debating doing my first half marathon in April but I am worried it will be too hot as its one of the last ones offered around here…

supination issue
I recently started running a few months ago and noticed I had this issue of my foot rolling to the outside as I run. Are there any particular shoes, braces or supportive devices to prevent this? If so, is one brand better than another? It is keeping me from running because of the pain it creates

How can one put up a running ticker? It's as clear as mud and would really like to see a visual!
Anyone have an idea how to put up one of those tickers onto a profile relating to the running goals? I'd really like to see a visual related to my meagre efforts ...

Looking to connect with fellow runners.
Running is my go to form of exercise. I hate strength training (though I still do it). I'm training for a half marathon that is in March. I ran a full marathon last year, but after having a stress fracture due to it, I thought It would be better to lower the mileage. I would love to connect with other runners. It would be…

Sideline Runners Speak up
Hello I am a runner for wow 30yrs!! I do very few road races any more. The cost the crowds. But I do understand the enjoyment of the race and the training to reach your goals. My goal for this last year was to enter and run my first 1/2 marathon. I trained on the treadmill. I am now preparing for hip surgery :( I need 3…

Do you have a running goal??
As in.....I want to run a marathon, or I want to run 5km in under XX:XX time?? I am aiming to run 10km by Christmas time (can do 8.7km now, so sure I could push it out to 10 easily) then I think I might want to train to do a half marathon!!

Did you know you can run a 5k, 10k, half, or full marathon for a charity? https://virtualstrides.com/faq/ offers a monthly charity, complete with racing bib and medal. Typical fees are $28. New to the group.
Hi My name is Nivee. I'm from Toronto, Ontario. Walking and running is my favourite form of exercise (outside/treadmill). I like going for long walks outside but I haven't found the confidence, just yet, to run outside. That is one of my goals for next spring. I do exercise somewhat regularly (3-4x per week, most weeks),…

New to the group
Hey everyone! New to the group, but I have been running for the last few years. Completed several 10ks and 1 half marathon (don't think I'll be doing another!) My goals have always been to run the whole race without walking, but this year I've decided I want to do a sub 1 hour 10k. Any advice on how to this would be great!…

Where do you run?
Just being nosy....where do you run? Road, treadmill, off-road? I was "pounding the pavement" as it was easier when I first started running, plus it gave me definite start/stop points. I have started running on a coastal route, it is a mix of dirt, grass, gravel and shells/sand. I have to pay attention so as to avoid…

Newbie (sort of)- with a question!
HI all! I am curious; can you walk/jog on back to back days? I am not horribly out of shape. I have already lost 25lbs and have been doing yoga and the elliptical a few times a week. I am adding in walking and jogging. The reason I ask is I would like to take advantage of good weather days and get outside. Sometimes with…
