Running Bras
I know this question isn't for everyone but- I have larger breasts and I have a pretty sturdy sports bra. I still find my chest to be extremely sore after only running. Does anyone have any bra suggestions?

Runner friends
Hey everyone! I am looking for runner friends to add. Personally I have been running for a few years now but not seriously training. Now I am working towards a 10k goal. I'd love the support and conversation of fellow runners!

Too little sodium?
Hi all, Looking for some help with my diet! I've recently been having issues with weight loss despite being eating at a deficit and increasing my activity levels! Someone suggested that maybe my sodium levels were high and to drink more water. But, I looked at my sodium intake and it's very low... Did a little reading and…

States or Countries You've Run In?
Just a fun thing I thought might be interesting. There are several sites where you can create custom shaded maps. I thought I'd make a map of the states I've run. Now I know it's not many states, and I bet some of you could nearly fill the map. Where have you run? See below the image for the site and instructions * To…

Sports/Smart watch
I am taking a small poll on which smart watch/sports tracker everyone has. Right now, I have a Vivofit2 and it is really just a steps/sleep/calorie tracker. My husband just got a Samsung GearFit 2. While it is better, it might not be exactly what I want. Anyway, tell me what you have and why you like it best. Please? Thank…

Share your running playlist
I never used to listen to music when I run (and I still don't for trail running) but somewhere along the line I created a playlist and now I'll listen to music about half the time I'm running pavement, particularly on long runs. I'm always looking for new songs. If you've got a playlist, please share it here. On my…

Pants that don't fall down
I wonder if I've gone down a size or something, because all the sudden all my running pants are sliding down my backside. Most of my pants are size L. I picked up a cute pair of Nike capris at a consignment shop in an M, but those were slipping on the treadmill last week (I spent most of the run holding them up with one…

HR Tracking/Training 101
In my ongoing quest to improve as a runner, I'd like to know more about how HR monitoring is used to improve your running. I've tried to Google and such, but really just need some layman's information on the what, where's, and why's of training this way and what improvements I would expect to see.

Running in Winter
When it's cold, how do you keep up with your running schedule? What do you wear? I live in Denver, so 90% of the time it will just be cold. Another 5% of the time it will be very frigid and some snow or ice to contend with, but still probably runnable. The remaining 5% of the time, the weather is a shit show and…

Ball of foot pain in left foot
Wondering if any of you have ever had this and if so how did you manage it? I just got new shoes - Mizuno Wave Catalyst - so have been breaking them in for a little while now. I went on a 6 mile run the other day and noticed the middle of the pad of my left foot became sore after I past the 4 mile marker. If I adjusted my…

Runkeeper - Training plans
I have been using Runkeeper to track my runs since I got my first iphone back in 2010, love the app. Today I joined a training plan called Running for Fat Loss, kind of excited to see how I manage that! It starts out with a few steady 30 minute runs and then throws in some interval runs. Looking forward to just changing it…

WD100k Race Report
Well, here it is, my Race Report for Wild Duluth. Yesterday I “ran” the Wild Duluth 100k. It was a definite baptism by fire for this aspiring ultramarathoner. I got to the start at about 0530, met up with my friend Andy, and waited for the race briefing. The briefing was quick, making sure that people knew what color flags…

WDW Marathon January 2018
Is anyone here doing the Disney Marathon in Orlando on January 7th? This is my first marathon, I'm following a modified Jeff Galloway program, and I only have three long runs left before the race. I'd love to connect with fellow runners who will be there. So exciting!!!

My first marathon!! Chicago Marathon race recap
I ran my first marathon on Sunday (10/8/18)!! I was planning to just post a recap in the October thread, but this got a little long so I figured I'd post it here instead: I woke up at 5am on race morning feeling pretty awake, I surprisingly had slept quite well! I had a quick breakfast (bagel with PB, banana, and honey…

What's your favorite running accessory?
Not including your shoes, what's your favorite running accessory? Your GPS? hat? shoelaces? I'll tell you mine after I see what others bring up. My favorite accessory is actually something I don't take along on a run.

How many races per year?
I'm wondering how many races everyone does per year. I've noticed that I seem to have gone overboard this year a bit, but I've enjoyed it for the most part. So I'm not sure if this is crazy or not. I'm not exactly a great or experienced runner, but have found myself signing up for a lot of shorter races this year anyway. I…

Training for my first marathon
I have my first marathon coming up in mid June, and I'm already starting to prep for it. One of the things I decided to do was go all in, and order a custom training plan, to help me get some structure in my training. well, I just got my custom training plan (earlier than I was expecting). I decided to order one because:…

Night Running
hey! Jogging at night is my favorite. The moon is beautiful and the wind is so nice and cool. I run in neighborhoods and along roads that are lit and some that are not lit. My question is about night time running equipment/accessories. Right now I wear black yoga pants that have light reflecting strips on the sides, my…

Stigmatism and trail running
So, I wear glasses for a stigmatism, it isn't horrible, but it isn't mild either. I love trail running and have to wear my glasses. My question is: Can I wear contacts and would they work the same or close to my glasses. I'm afraid I'm going to break my glasses. They also make it hard to breath through my nose. All replies…

Where I Run - Tue Brueggers Route
This is my typical Tuesday morning route. I snagged pictures off of google maps from both the aerial Earth view and street view. This is an aerial view of the first couple of miles (highlited by the red line). Here is the rest of it. Well this makes up only about 7.5 miles of it. I usually extend it out by running a couple…

Planning for winter/off season
With my final race of the year done, with the exception of a Turkey Trot with family, I'm starting to plan out a general idea for my winter training schedule. My hope is to sue the off season to help fill in some of the gaps in my running game. I know I need to get my endurance up, I have gotten a lot faster, but I still…

Introduction
Hi I just saw this group and thought it would be nice to join for some support. I honestly don't love running, but I like the results that come with it. My goals are to trim and tone, lose about 15 more lbs. I have a pretty high threshold so achieving results is tough for me. I just recently started doing interval training…

Socks (Running vs Cycling)
Does anyone know if there's any significant difference between running and cycling socks? As a cyclist originally I've always worn cycling socks as that's what I've had. I'm now getting to need replacements and just wondered if there's any difference between them? Does anyone that uses both have a preference? I'm…

Should I set a goal pace for my Half Marathon?
I will run my second half marathon in about 3 weeks. I finished my last HM in March this year, running easy pace because I had some nagging leg pain going into the race. I feel like I am in better condition this time and could aim for a better time. I guess I want to finish the race feeling like I have tried my best…
