Recent(ish) diagnosis and current investigations...
So I was diagnosed with PCOS earlier this year (or year and a half idk), however I'm not under investigation for endometriosis, on the waiting list for a laprascopy. I couldn't find an endo group on here, however I'm wandering if anyone else has a 'dual diagnosis', and what to expect from the investigation? Thanks guys x

High A1C
I am so upset. I have been trying to get help for the last year and nothing until today. I gained about 20 pounds in 5-6 months even though I have been trying to eat healthy. I was going through my previous insurance and no help. I just changed gain and had an appointment with my ob/gyn on October 2nd, where he told me…

Birth control causes extreme hunger??
I've been on birth control since I was 15. It'll be 14 years in February. Ever since I have went on them for endometriosis and PCOS back then I have had issues with being constantly hungry. After just one week on low-sugar...
Cutting out added sugar (and by proxy, refined carbohydrates and processed foods) for one week so far, I'm down about 2lbs but MOST IMPORTANTLY - I've had my first period in approximately 10 months. Huge deal for me, and I have found it much easier to cut down on carbs by focusing on sugar instead. Has anyone else done…

New here!
Hi everyone, My name is Katie, I'm 27, and I have 50-60lbs to lose. I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 21, but fortunately I was able to have 3 kids, ages 5, 3 and 1. Unfortunately, I still have the crummy symptoms (facial hair, cystic acne, weight gain). I'm hoping losing the weight will finally help balance my hormones.…

Potential PCOS Hormone Balancing Supplements - Not Inositol
So, for those of you who have studied PCOS in all it's annoyingness, have you run across suggestions for these supplements? I found the article somewhat lacking in content, but interesting, as it is from a holistic practitioner. I've heard of Inositol and Vitex, but not N-acetylcysteine and L-arginine. Just wondered if…

Birth control disaster!
I am in such a dilemma. The birth control my primary doctor gave me has done wonders, cramps are almost completely gone, odd bodily hair is LESSENING (but still there annoyingly enough), and in addition to a diet I've dropped weight. HOWEVER, two months into taking it (she wanted me to take 3 months without placebo then…

Hi everyone, New to this group, been dx back in 2007 when TTC. 2 kids later, my weight is at its highest ever, 254 currently, down from 260. Looking for a Doc in Chicago/Northern Illinois
Help a cyster out! I live and work and was diagnosed in Honduras. It was very quick and overwhelming, especially considering I was navigating medical issues in a second language! Tolerating Metformin (nausea problem)
I tried taking metformin a few years ago for PCOS but found that I felt sick all the time - for weeks on end - even taking slow-release tabs and on a pretty low dose. Now I want to try it again because I suspect my really bad diet at the time did not help (high fat, high carb, high sugar) and basically I was wanting tips…

PCOS and TDEE
I don't know if anybody eats at TDEE but I was wondering if women with PCOS had the same TDEE as everyone else? I did some research on the Internet and lots of people said that women with PCOS should minus 400-500 calories from the number that TDEE calculations for weight loss give you. Thoughts?
