Still just sharing this for those curious, not bc I'm worried. The last two weeks my weight has finally been over 145lbs. Been weighing every few days just to watch fluctuations & bc I thought I was close to TDEE. Weight has been all over the place from 147-153. My scale doesn't seem totally accurate & I've been eating…

I was tremendously busy moving around until I even started to wear it and I didn't have gym time yesterday. It will be interesting to see how much it…

Everythings changed - need help with numbers
Previously I was working out quite a lot - running, a little weight lifting, circuit training and bodyweight training. My cals got up to 2400 and I was bouncing around with the same few pounds, losing, gaining, losing....ANYWAY, after a fall at the gym about a month ago, I badly bruised the base of my back. Initially it…

Activity Level Advice
Hi all. I was hoping I could get your advice on which activity level I should choose. I have a desk job with not much moving around at all. I've been doing NROLFW 3 times a week (Stage 1 so about 20-25 minutes each session) and I TRY to walk for 30 mins around the neighborhood at least twice (sometimes 3 times) per week. I…

Any late 40s or older women having success?
Hi. I'm new to the group. I just turned 48 last week. I've been on mfp for 4 1/2 years and my first year in I lost 100 pounds. I maintained, not easily, for a long while. I've had to eat very little and workout hard to maintain. Now the past year and a nasty injury kept me sidelined and I gained 10 pounds (while eating…

kind of confused....
I use my weekly Fitbit report to calculate my TDEE and put that number into FitBit then subtract the percentage (e.g. 5%-10%) from that number and put it into MFP, is that correct?

Just starting out
ESo, I'm sticking a toe in and trying something different. I found a few different TDEE calculation sites and I've taken the lowest which was over 2000 and I'm deducting 20% from that, to equal 1689 as a calorie goal. I'm 148lbs trying to lose 10lbs and doing cardio kickboxing (on the heavy bag), kettlebell and walking,…

Decrease or increase calories.
I increased my calories March 9. As of today I have lost 0.4lbs. The scale continues to go up and down the same few pounds. I exercise one hour a day, 5 days a week. I was wondering should I increase, or decrease my calories by 100? Weight 214.4 Height 5' 6"

Increased 4 days ago. When to weigh?
Hi all! I increased cals from 1700 to 2200 after finding the general consensus for my TDEE to be 2500-2600. When should I weigh myself? I want to find my actual TDEE, so it'd be a necessary evil, I suppose. But I don't want to jump the gun.

Just to clarify how I should set my mfp and fitbit
I am looking for confirmation and clarification that I am setting my calories correctly. I am 53 years old, weigh 88 kg, 160 cm tall. In Scooby under an option of 20% lose fat and lightly active I come out with BMR of 1538, TDEE of 2115 and eat 1692. In fat2fit, I comet with a BMR of 1545 or 1515 (with a guess as to my…

Two Week Update for Anyone Curious
Calorie increase update for those curious: Been bumped up for about two weeks now. After 2 days of caloric increase, my weight dropped down 2lbs, then went back up almost immediately so looking back I am guessing that was a water fluctuation. So started at 145lb, two days of 143, and now I am back to 145lb. The entire last…

Wondering if my figures are right & what to do next
Hi all I've been back tracking calories and using fitbit for about a month, with Heybales help recently I switched to eating a 15% cut of the average fitbit cal burn, however, my weight is stuck. I've been stuck at this weight for a month now, it fluctuates us 0.2kg some days other days it goes down 0.2kg but on the whole…

FitBit calories 1,100 daily calories lower than my calculated TDEE
(reposted from a status update) I am still not sold on the accuracy of this FitBit Flex. I simply do not have the time to adjust every time I walk 5-15 minutes with my 37lb nursing bags.... and I wonder if that's whats causing this huge difference. I wore my HR monitor around campus one day, and while carrying my bags and…

Help with TDEE/Fitbit/Heybales Spreadsheet
Alright, I've been at this before but it seems that after baby #2, I need to constantly remind myself that less isn't always better. I've been doing the math with my numbers and I just want to make sure I'm on the right track. I'm pulling numbers from different places to see what the pattern might be. I would hate to be…

Activity level advice please :)
Hello :) I am just wondering if someone can give me advice on what my activity level is. I lift weights 3x a week for 40 minutes per session (heavy lifting). I do 10 minutes of HIIT on the treadmill after my lifting seasons, and I run 3 miles one day a week. Aside from that, I walk some throughout the day, but I'm mostly…

I've got my Scooby numbers... now WHERE I put them in MFP???
BMR: 1415 TDEE: 1945 Cut Value: 1653 Which one do I enter as my GOAL? BMR or Cut Value? Do I eat back the calories after I enter my daily exercice? Goal and NET should be the same at the end of the day? Thank you... I'm a MFP user since 35 days... but have not lost anything in the last 21 days... may be I'm doing something…

Calories slowly crept back down. Help!
I started EM2WL last fall and upped my calories from 1500 to 2300-2800 with good results. I lift heavy 5 days a week for 45-60 min and do minimal cardio, maybe an hour per week. But slowly in the past 6 months, my calories have crept back down. I'm hovering around 1700 and not losing weight and only losing strength. I'm…

Calories burned discrepancy
So MFP puts my 30 min strength training at 98 calories and my 20 min cardio at 90 calories. But my Polar FT7 which uses heart rate monitoring has me at 321 calories total for the two. That's a large difference. I would think Polar is right bc configured to my age, height, weight and constant HR monitoring during exercise…
