So glad you chose to post this.

I wish all of these had a "like" button. Too bad it would be annoying if I quoted and congratulated every NSV that I think is awesome.

I'm more if an elliptical girl than treadmill girl, but was on the tm and I could hear my girls slap my belly -- time for new workout gear. And I ended up buying a C. Wayyyy over a decade since my last C.

That is not a little victory. That is a major triumph!

Someone on here mentioned earlier about the skin on the bottom of the feet looking so much better. I was just telling my friend tonight that my feet look so much better, no lotion added. I told her I learned from MFP that the craters on my feet were from the extra weight, not dryness. Love this site!

I keep meaning to follow up on these snack ideas, but I keep forgetting on shopping day! http://greatist.com/health/88-unexpected-snacks-under-100-calories

I can now cross the apron strings in back and tie it in front.

How odd that what you were doing was working, yet everyone felt you needed an intervention. And, I think moving out of one classification to another is great! It's like moving from XXL to XL -- just that much closer to no X! Have a great day!

Hormones play a big part of appetite. And when enough fat is accumulated, it acts as an organ and makes hormones. I can't speak to a sudden loss of appetite due to stress, but you might get something out of this link. http://m.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/bhcv2/bhcarticles.nsf/mskpages/Obesity_and_hormones?open

The "black girl" begins the will power series with a more casual tone, but further on in the series it does get meatier, and she does cite her sources. @redoakcircus @tinascar2015 Thank you for the reference. I'm sorry you developed diabetes. God be with you on your journey to better health.

I think the advice to move on is good. I also thought you would be interested in the science behind processed foods and will power. There story really isn't "I'm such a loser because I'm so weak". The science behind temptation and bingeing is actually pretty interesting. http://blackgirlsguidetoweightloss.com/tag/sugar/…

I just noticed today I have worn lots of different kinds of pants this month and haven't heard any whooshing sounds.

I am sorry for your loss. But what a story to tell your future children! May you be blessed abundantly. Thank you for sharing.

I totally agree on getting new workout clothes! You look fantastic!! I just bought new exercise clothes this week after a 45 lb loss. The check in clerk at the gym said "you've lost a lot of weight". I bought them a little on the tight side as "progress" clothes.

Preach it, Brother Bob !

And that’s the funny thing about shame. The commenter above said “It’s only shaming you if you let it.” That’s only half-true. The way I receive a comment about my size or my build doesn’t change the fact that the intention was still to make me feel bad about my body. What I can do, however, is develop the ability to call…

That's standard procedure. Presumably going over 1K calories would have side effects, too. I'm sorry Katie for the poor welcome. I didn't realize that was part of the package. When I first made the decision to lose weight, I joined a gym and was planning to go early early in the morning. But I found I was weak; so I bought…

@kp3868 My mistake. That is standard post bariatric surgery procedure. I apologize. http://www.ucsfhealth.org/education/dietary_guidelines_after_gastric_bypass/

I used to have a beer with my husband for supper. Now, "we" have a beer for supper. I have 4 oz, he has 8 oz.

I feel your pain. I think apples have such pretty legs. And no matter their muffin top, they can wear pants nicely. But we have better heart health, which is something, I guess.

My daughter gives me random hugs because she can clasp her hands when we hug.

I bought my first dress with no X on the label.
