Nice work. See what a little persistence does for you?

I hear you loud and clear. Breakfast Tacos are my weakness, too. So I had to change my eating habbits. Every morning I make a protein shake - 4 simple ingredients:* Whey Protein powder (1 scoop) * 1 Banana * 1 serving lowfat greek yogurt (flavored or not, your choice * one serving of fresh fruit - (strawberries, or…

Of course, Because my momma raised me right and I'm a gentleman.

I sort of did, today. My brokerage had their annual Thangksiving day potluck. For the most part I did OK with it.

There is a search button, at the top of the page, below the Navigation bar, and just above the title of this post :)

Dude, you are me. Same issues, same weight, and I'm only 2 weeks into the journey. Thanks for the honesty and candor. Friend request sent.

Incredible, and amazing. Thanks for sharing.

I hear you! I had a whoops day today too. Gonna try to get through tonight and wake up with a fresh start. Great advice.

I'm in the same boat with VeryKatie - if it's in my house, I'll eat it. Get rid of it - Toss it, give it to a friend, heck hand it to a homeless guy. Get it out of sight and temptation.

Everybody has such great ideas. Keep 'em coming!

Although I agree that you should be weighing everything, you only show one day of food. Weight loss is a process. Use the app, consistently and accurately for a week, and see what your TOTAL calories are for the week. Also average your weights throughout the week. Don't just rely on a snapshot for results.

To look good in a suit.

#1 - You have a great network of friends here who can help you through this. There is a ton of great advice in the posts above ^^^^ #2 - If you are like me, you really love your MPF app. When I am feeling a bit of temptation I open it up and look at the graph of my weight - it's a beautiful downward line. I like to keep it…

Great job! I'm new here too, and just learning about how to eat right. The MFP app has been so helpful for me for that reason. I always thought I ate well, but I guess I didn't because my weight kept creeping up. Now that I track everything, I'm loosing weight, and feeling great. Amazing job with the first 21# Keep it up!

Wow, what an amazing transformation! You are such an encouragement! Great job and Keep it up!

I make mine every morning for breakfast. Each has 4 ingredients I toss into a blender. The first three are a base that I always use, and the 4th ingredient I change up based on what I'm feeling like, or what is on sale at the store. * A banana - I don't change this * 3 Tablespoons low-fat, low sugar, Greek Yogurt -…

Thanks for that advice I'm not much one for shopping, so Black Friday doesn't mean too much for me. But... for the last couple of days I've been super motivated to start a weight training program. Looking at tons of YouTube videos and on-line programs. I'm a member of a local Gym that has all the equipment I could dream…

Hi - I'm new here too. A bit older, but with a 2 year old. Just want to say that you can do it! Good luck to you!

Welcome, and howdy from Texas! I'm new here too, but feel free to add me. I'll give encouragement as I can.

I'm a bit older, male, and in Texas, but we are all in this together!

Hi - I'm pretty new here, too, but welcome! I love MyFitnessPal too. At first I had some troubles with it, but now that I've been using it for every meal for 2 weeks, I think I have the hang of it. You mentioned you lost some data. I don't think it's lost, unless you actually deleted it, and that's pretty hard to do. You…

Hang in there. It's just one day. You realize what you did, and maybe take a minute to reflect what led up to the choice you made to eat a little more than you wanted. Think about the end goal next time, and you will end up OK in the long run

Have you tried a Pre-sleep routine? No caffeine after 3:00, and after dinner, turn the lights down, no loud music or TV, and reduced activity. Dim your computer screen or iPad, too. Try to wind down, and calm down. Maybe relaxing music, or reading (evening reading for me is super boring and puts me right out).

I am also just getting started, and here's what I did. I downloaded the MyFitnessPal app on my phone. Every time I eat something I use the big + button and select food, to note that I ate something. I enter everything I put in my mouth. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, all sodas, drinks and Snacks. At first I wasn't very careful…

When I realized that I had to accurately count everything that went in my mouth.

I've been a vegetarian for over 30 years. But that doesn't mean it is healthy. At 260 pounds, I have a lot to loose, and am just beginning the journey. Mostly when people hear vegetarian, they immediately think healthy, and let me tell you that is 100% not the case. I love chips, fries, basically anything cooked in oil and…
