I had switched out to “natural” bacon without nitrates but when we went Keto discovered these had 3 to 4 g of carbs per serving. So we do the nitrate version again but very rarely hav bacon because of it. Is it possible to do nitrate and carb free? If so, my grocer doesn’t carry it.

I buy a head and chop it up then rice in blender after washing. Takes 5 min tops. For a full head I use 2-3 tbsp coconut oil w cumin and turmeric - about 1 tsp each plus salt and pepper. Totally yum. Also do a Thai version w curry. Equally yum.

When I create a new recipe I add everything manually to make sure the macros are correct. In the title of the recipe I put the web address so I have quick access to the entire recipe.

If I don't drink, I don’t lose. I fill my jug and keep it on the counter - 64 oz. plus 3-4 soda water plus 4-5 black coffee and maybe 2 plain tea. But like I said if I skip the jug of water I don’t lose ... might even gain. We are all different :)

I lost 35 lbs from July 3 to Dec. Last two weeks of Dec I consciously decided to enjoy Christmas. I had some sweets but Margaritas and Caresars and red wine at all the functions really added up. If we go out for dinner, I NEED red wine. If I stick to one 5-6 oz glass I am ok BUT if I have the 2nd one it messes up my weight loss for the coming week. Sometimes it’s just hard not to get that 2nd glass. I have tried to switch to vodka but it just isn’t the same.

Thanks for asking. Back to everything this week - yoga and workouts and chores - but he asked me to wait another week or two before riding. Will see how I do w everything else this week and then decide when to ride. But definitely back in the saddle by March 5

Feeling better I hope. I start back to yoga Tues (Wed trainer and Thurs more yoga) but surgeon said to wait another week or two before riding. Will see how my workouts go this week then back to riding Feb 26 or March 5. Spring isn’t far away.

Lost my *kitten* at Christmas. Allowed myself a few treats and it turned into a slippery slope. Felt extremely yucky later. I did pretty much as @jazzb9363 said above. Pretty much ignored my calories, went extremely LC and high fat incl lots of Mct oil in my coffees. Back in ketosis in about 5 days and felt 100% better…

I love coffee. Went cold turkey and started only drinking it black. I drank less for a while but now I prefer it black but occasionally treat myself to an afternoon cup w Cream. I no longer use any sugars or sweeteners and honestly feel better for it. Good luck. Whi can live without a good cup of java .... not me.
