What does your surgeon say?

I have mine set like "anbrdr" - 50% protein, 40% fat, 10% carbs...it works for me. I'm at goal, so I eat a little more carbs now, but not much...

I'm almost 17 months out and often times my pouch can hold more at the end of the day than it can in the mornings.

Yes - such a wonderful feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there! I had my RNY Gastric Bypass on February 10, 2015. Welcome!
-
I don't worry at all about fat - I eat high protein, and high fat. I surpassed my goal weight and I've lost 175 pounds. My RNY Gastric Bypass was February 10, 2015. In the beginning I just don't worry about anything more than getting in that protein. And my vitamins. As time goes on it gets easier, but in the beginning…

AWESOME!!!!! Congratulations!!!

I met my hubby on PoF as well - granted I feel I am one of the lucky ones, as that site seems to be full of players. Lol. Anyway, glad you took the plunge, made the first step and it worked out decently. May not have been a spark, but at least you got out there. Keep on keeping on - and have fun. Oh - and be safe. :-)
-
Good luck - you will be in my prayers. :-)

Nice work!!!!

Happy 6-month surgiversary!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have yet to meet a woman whose monthly hasn't gone bat-shnit-crazy since surgery. Lol. I do believe, however, that for the most part it is temporary and will eventually settle down. Until then - good luck!

Hope all went well!!!

Yeah, it actually is. The surface tension of plain water is more than if you add Crystal Light or something like that to it. I have not really been able to drink plain water much since surgery. I'm almost a year out and am now just able to - but only sometimes. I usually have to drink Propel or diet tea.
-
Oh goodness - in the beginning it was INSANELY LOUD. Thank goodness, though, it has settled down tremendously for me. :-)

Congrats on making one of the best decisions of your life (in my opinion). I would suggest you prepare as much ahead of time as you can, with regard to making sure you have tried the various protein shakes out there and picked a few you like. Premiere Protein pre-made are really good. I wish I had known about them in those…

Well when trying to lose weight, I weigh often - to stay accountable, but once I hit my goal weight I will, no doubt, weigh much less often. Probably only if my clothes are feeling tight or something.
-
That is completely, totally, normal. It'll pass. Just keep doing what you're doing.

I actually was okay, even pleased, with the pictures that were taken of me this weekend putting up our Christmas tree. That hasn't happened in more years than I can count!
-
I picked RNY Gastric Bypass because I wanted the dumping, the strictness, the full-in option. It's worked wonders for me. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
-
Best of luck to you!!!

I didn't tell my work people anything other than I was having surgery and I was planning to be back in two week - but I ended up being out for 4 weeks. I had short-term disability so there weren't any issues there - and I was logging on from home, helping whenever I could. They still don't know why I had surgery 8 months…

Everyone has done so amazingly well!!! GREAT JOB!!!!! I've attached my 8-month post-op comparison pic...down 123 pounds...

Awesome!! GREAT WORK!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AMAZING WORK!! Congrats!!

Hmmm...maybe mix up when you take your vitamins? I've heard some feeling more nauseous throughout the day when taking vitamins in the morning. I guess I would try to log what you eat and the after affects and go from there. Eating whatever protein you can tolerate, as often as possible is going to make a big difference,…

Good luck!

Glad it went well!!

Congrats and good luck!!
