@FIT_Goat do you ever make gb jerky? saw that recipe on zioh, may try it out. don't have a dehydrator but maybe in ze oven.

still trucking along. started zero carbs 12 days ago. feeling great. sleeping well. lots of energy. eating about twice a day - appetite waxes and wanes. the other day i ate about 2.5 lbs of meat, today all i have had are a few chicken legs. feels good not to need to keep track of anything and let hunger guide me. got…

(oops - posted this in the wrong spot!) finally checking in again. i decided to start zero carb last saturday and i sort of fell down the 'zeroing in on health' page rabbit hole on fb. (: feeling really good so far. i did have a weird episode with eggs this morning, so those are out for a while. also cut out dairy (except…

ah right. for some reason i had it in my head that we were checking in on mondays.
-
is there a check-in thread for this week?
-
i would be in! i already started. it's so simple and straightforward - eat meat, drink water. (:
-
i would love to try seal! i don't believe i have tried tasting any sea mammals at all! (well, unless you count the dolphin in my tuna fish sandwiches in the 80s. sorry!)

i grew up in a hunting family. i miss venison. and hunting with my dad. (i vividly remember my mom slicing boiled deer hesrt for sandwiches and raising an eyebrow - but they were delicious!) hmn... maybe i come by this carnivorous thing naturally, after all. i have decided to give it a go for 30 days and see what happens.…

i hear you, gale. but there's really nothing to count on zc, as you pretty much just eat meat. (:
-
thanks! and don't worry about it. i was worried my own reply had come across as snippy, though i certainly didn't intend for it to!
-
that's interesting! i have noticed a slowing of my greying since going lchf. it was really getting outta control, and that's why i had noticed.
-
thanks goat!

ah, i misinterpreted your reply. my own apologies.

hi @Stbarber1 i am curious about this version of lc so i am looking for tips and info, not necessarily interested in justifying my reasons for considering it. perhaps others who are more seasoned in the approach might be able/willingbto share their rationale with you.

this is very intriguing to me.
-
whoa. something is making me wanna go buy a big ol' stack o' ribeyes.
-
it does taste better, yes. (:

lmao

yay! welcome to the dark side, lol. (: easing into it is a very good idea. depending on how low you go with carbs, be aware that there may be an initial flag in energy as your body adjusts. for me it only lasted a week (and i went wayyyy down - to <20g). the advice to drink lots of water and up the salt is really…
