If you want real food, then you can eat real food. A "diet" is only as good as its sustainability. Calorie deficits work.

Awesome to hear!

When a woman cheats, there are plenty of women (and sometimes men) to say, "Well, her man should have paid more attention to her!" Now, I'm not condoning cheating, but look at the reality of why it sometimes happens. When a partner feels neglected, the relationship ALWAYS goes south. Sometimes quickly. I'm assuming you've…

Yes, it can. I also have lower back pain that goes down to my thighs. Do a little online research, and if your symptoms match, mention it to your doc! Admittedly, there's no cure for endo and the most the doc can probably do is help with pain management. (Unless you find an excision specialist, but that's a whole other…

Sending you a friend request now! I love having active friends.

Endometriosis is when endometrial tissue grows in places other than the uterus. I have endo and it causes a shooting pain down there, too.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! That's me screaming in frustration because my weight was the same as last week. I keep gaining and losing the same 2 pounds. I can't seem to break under 134. It's killing me! I'm not going to give up, but it's still so frustrating!!
-
I agree with not 20 pounds by November!

Why are people telling OP she can't lose weight and train for a 5K at the same time? It isn't difficult to log your calories and follow a training app. I am just one of countless people who have done just that.
-
You can lose weight while preparing for your 5K. Your starting stats are close to what mine were. I started at 153 and I am 5'2". I agree that 20 pounds by November isn't realistic or safe. Just maintain a calorie deficit and start your running program. Cardio exercise is great for your heart. Just start slowly and…

I eat LCHF. Why? Definitely not because it's a magical formula for weight loss! It is merely a tool for me to easily stay close to my calorie goal. Once I started reducing my carb intake, I realized just how many of my calories were coming from empty carb calories. I also started noticing that I wasn't craving the…

I didn't reach my goal. Looking back, I realize that it was unrealistic anyway. I can't lose as quickly now that I'm nearing my goal weight, and. I forgot that when I set my goal. So, my new goal.... I started in August at 135.2 Last weigh in for August 134.4 (I could have done a little better) Goal for end of September is…

Lol! I never get weirded out by friend requests. I accept all requests. If they turn out to be creepy, THEN I delete.

I want to go to a gym so badly, but I am a coward, I'll admit it. I obviously have no advice for you, but come back and post how your first visit went!
-
Oh yeah! When people start noticing is the best!!
-
THIS x1000! Especially the part about being truthful with your doctor. Hope you begin healing soon!

I went up this week a whole pound to 135.2. :( BUT, I was actually expecting a bigger gain as I've really done horribly this last week. Gonna do better next week. I WILL post a loss next week! However, I will not be meeting my original August goal of being under 130. I am setting a new goal of 133. We'll see how that goes!…

Any digital scale. Just be sure to keep the batteries fresh!

It can be inaccurate more often than people think. OP, not only do you need to weigh your food, but be sure you are not overestimating your calorie burns.
-
Thank you very much, everyone! I admit it......click bait.

As someone already mentioned, I'm just referring to not stuffing my face full of whatever I feel like eating and making sure I get the exercise my body so desperately craves. We are not meant to eat until we are miserable and our bodies were made to move. I have gotten so disgusted lately with seeing diet pills and…

Ok, HUGE NSV today! I did my one-month measurements today. In the past 30 days, I have lost 2.5 inches from my waist, 1 inch from my lower abdomen, and 1.25 from my upper thigh (one of my biggest problem areas). Small losses in other areas, but the numbers are going down and I couldn't be happier! I am going out to dinner…

Good things come to those who wait! Losing weight is one big waiting game. I'm glad you finally got your own NSV!
-
I'm loving all the NSVs! (Especially the one about throwing away BK food.) Keep 'em coming! My newest NSV is running a mile in under 10 minutes today!!

Please be sure to not stay under 1200 consistently. 1200 is the bare minimum recommended for women. To continually eat less than that will put you at risk for severe energy loss, muscle loss, hair loss, etc. I know we all want to hurry up and lose the weight, but we have to keep in mind that it took a while to gain it, so…

I lost .8 for the first week. Hoping to step it up to 1.5 for next weigh in!
-
Most people follow a rule of eating only half of your exercise calories back. I'm actually not consistent on that. Some days I eat them all, some days half, some days none at all. I guess I'm not a good example, but my weight is steadily going down.
-
How many calories per day do you eat?
-
OP, I eat lower carb, higher fat. Do you have questions or are you looking for friends doing the same?
-
Lean meats and eggs will help keep you under what your doc recommended. I'm confused about why your doc wants you low carb AND low fat, though. Usually, a low-carb diet means upping your fats.
