I love the show. However, I am an adult with a job and school and a brain. I wouldn't let my young teens (if they existed) watch it. But it is a wonderful, guilty pleasure my bf and I enjoy each Thursday night.

In short, Paleo is eating only the foods that were available to our ancestors before cultivation. This includes lean meats, veggies, fruits, nuts, and some eggs. You carbs come from veggies and fruit and your protein from meat that is lean and unprocessed - so bacon and sausage are out until the scientists discover the…

Heck yeah! You know how good your time is? You set a PR! That's how good it was. Now you have a goal to strive for or go big and run a longer distance. Good job!

Good job, all! What's the link to the Town Hall meeting? Does it change each week? Thanks.

Make sure you change the capital IMG to a lower case img to make your image show up in your signature! (be sure not to delete the / in the end /img. It's important!)

I'm fascinated by the way the bar code scanner works on the iPhone app. It's correct.

My favorite part of this debate is all the references to web sites to prove the various points. Because everything you read on the web is true! One of my friends recently started college and I had to explain to her that Wikipeida is not a source when writing a paper. She really thought it was.

Awesome! You should see if you could put on the old ones over the current ones.

When I was 17, I was diagnosed bipolar II disorder. I have had very long bouts with depression as well as weeks on an indescribable high. Neither way is good. But now I'm properly medicated, yet I still have 'break through days', days which you feel like crap even though you took your meds. But a constant running program…

I'm seriously creeped out by that picture. His head is way to small.

For the same reason that Safeway is Safeway in Northern California and Vons in Southern California. To make you wonder.

I can't decide what is worse, however, the fact that people leave the advertising frame on or some dealerships put a sticker on the paint of used cars with the dealership name. I'm going with the latter since I can't decided to take that off. It a sticker on the paint.

Have you tried threading? It didn't hurt at all and didn't leave my skin all red and sore. I saw it randomly in the mall on a trip. I wish I had one closer to my house.

I take a daily multi vitamin year round and vitamin D in the winter. It's not hard to remember since I already take meds twice a day, so I just make a handful and toss 'em down.

In fact, here is the whole line. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=142 Many of them allow for the add-on foot pod for treadmill use and the cadence monitor for cycling.

Check out the Garmin Forerunner 405 and 610.

I wish I could write that I got a Cabbage Patch doll because my Mom stood in line or something. But we didn't have the money to pay for one, so I got a knock off. You really can't fool 5 year olds into thinking it the same -- cause it ain't! And I knew it wasn't real anyway, because it didn't have a tattoo on the butt. The…

My friend had one of those and it creeped me out something awful! I'm glad to know they are still around.

My biggest struggle is overeating and not caring that I did. The mentality of it's not gonna kill me to go over this one time is fine, but not when it happens like twice and three times a week. I have never overcome this obstacle. I track, but I track the overeating as well. I hope that this challenge will make me more…

Chi Running is a method of form. The website sucks cause they want you to buy the book or attend a workshop. The book has been around a while so it should be cheap used on Amazon. He teaches you good form and how to run the right way to run for a lifetime injury free. I read it when it first came out and haven't had an…

I agree.

Oh, and they are not corrective shoes. They are foot casts made by Asics. ;o)

Have you read Chi Running? I also run barefoot and use the Chi Running method with Five Fingers and haven't hurt in a long time. But shin splints can be a bad thing, but you haven't been running that long, so my initial non-medical opinion is weak muscles. Its a good read if you plan to run long term Go Diamonds!

I have to agree on the New Rules for Women. Its a great book, and at like 15 dollars, you could learn just as much as a personal trainer could tell you. Well, they could tell you more in some cases, but honestly, after a year working at Bally TF, personal training is a money racket. You only need a weekend of training to…

Not that it's related to bread, but looking at your ticker, all I can say is WOOHOO! You are amazing!

Hooray! I am excited!

My mom just told me that Shirataki Noodles, found by the tofu at the store, have the same calories as one serving of pasta in five servings.

Mac and Cheese. However, I did find a very satisfying version in Now Eat This!, and many of the above listed foods are in there, and each recipe is designed to be easy, with 20 ingredients or less, and under 350 calories a serving (most recipes make 4)

Now, I have not tried the New Balance Minimus, but a guy who works at this station is an ultra-marathoner who has gone the Five Fingers route recently bought a pair and says they are basically Five Fingers without toes. He likes them, and honestly, he gets less weird looks and questions.
