Congratulations!! So inspiring!! I got a marathon under my belt for 2018 and would like a SPRINT triathlon for 2019. Great reading this!!

@SeriouslySta Man, reading this made me teary eyed. I know your mom loved you and all of that as mothers do (generally) and said what she felt she needed to say at the time...but it just goes to show how careful we have to be with our words. That one comment to you drastically changed the way you saw yourself to a degree-…

First Half Marathon - finished with a 9:06/mile pace. I've been running a little over a year and have completed two Ragnars and several 5ks with decent times while placing for my age group in a couple (neighborhood runs that the experienced runners skipped on lol). Excited because this race marks the half way point our…

1. Complete my first Marathon in March. 2. Complete my third Ragnar Relay.. times were pretty decent for first two, but can always be faster. 3. Continue to gain strength with a progressive training program. I've shaved over two minutes off my one miler... and over three mins off my 5K since first beginning to run in…

That's great to hear that the results have been so significant!! Would you mind sharing how long you've been at it, when you began noticing results, and the type of results?? I've been following a loose version of the program for several months now and only in the last month or so have I noticed the changes in my backside…

Congratulations! Great job! I love how you took charge/are taking charge of your health in all aspects! Beautiful before and after. Keep up the great work. :-)

Huge difference! Great job! Keep going!!

I have had several goal weights along the way as well. I was happy when I hit my first goal as I just wanted to be thin again (and within a healthy BMI) after having children back to back and hanging on to the weight with each child. Then being thin wasn't enough, as I'd lost most of my shape...I was happy with my small…

Yes, I certainly don't feel like I'm knocking at 40! Thankfully don't look it either lol!! Great job!

Sleeved workout shirts that fit snug in the waist but a little roomier in the arms and shoulders... many shirts are much too loose in the waist when they fit my upper. Same thing on bottom... I need tight waisted pants that are a little looser in the hips/bottom. Hate having to keep jacking them up when they slide off my…

Won first place in my age group for a 5K "worthy cause run" and second female overall yesterday! It WAS a low key/park run which was obviously missing allllll the elite and young runners... I was happy they weren't there and gave me a chance to place. LOL! What I can't do running full out YET, weights have blessed me to…

I'm sorry for your loss. Way to go with staying consistent and focused! :-)

Awwww amazing!!!

Great job!!! Five pounds DOES make a big difference when we are at/close to ideal weight. I'm 5'8, 140 (going for 135) - and just going from 145 to 140 was a big difference in my pant's size. I weight train so that plays a role as well. But anyway, You look FAB, like a Barbie Doll.. you actually lost in your thighs as…

Yes, and my views will change from day to day and sometimes from morning to night. lol I just posted on my wall asking others to "commiserate" with me - then came to the community and saw that you all had already started! I echo many of the things mentioned in this post...most of which did NOT come until I lost the weight…

That you WILL lose the weight in your "resistant areas", you just have to keep going! Now you may not like how small other areas of your body will become, but it Will happen. Strength training in a deficit will help with your overall appearance while losing.

Amazing! You did it!!

Me too!!!!!
