I did not choose food for my reward - I chose a new wardrobe -175lbs. Lingerie and shoes that fit. Work, workout, and evening clothes. Ironically, I already had earrings to match everything because earrings fit when necklaces and bracelets don’t, so I have always had pretty earrings. After a year, it all still fits. I read…

I’m in Florida, expecting tropical storm type weather starting tonight. Fortunately, Dorian looks to be turning north, but that puts others in harm’s way, which is sad. While work is closed I am decluttering here at home. It is making me happy to eat properly (no filling up on shelf-stable sweets). We bought fruit and meat…

I did. Lost 170. Maintenance for several months now. You can take steps to minimize loose skin: hydration every day, lift heavy from the start, and nourish in a balanced way. Overall, I would rather have good health right now than plump, rounded appearing skin

Love this positive thread. ▪️we ride Segways on cruise excursions because I am under the weight limit ▪️bought a white blazer for summer. Have never worn a pale color. ▪️maintained my weight for a year ▪️walked five charity 5Ks ▪️maintained an average of 5000 steps per day. Some days are 10, some are 1, but the average is…

1,000 days logging. Nothing stopped me: not cruises, vacation, work, illness, business travel. Down 175 pounds, maintenance for 8 months. Thank you MFP peeps. You have motivated and explained and cheered even when you didn’t know it.

I wore a white tee shirt yesterday. In public. And we had our pictures taken from the back, to show the slogan (fundraiser for American Lung Association). Did not die of embarrassment. \o/

I finished a 5K Turkey Trot yesterday with about 2 extra miles to and from the parking lot. Better time than last year, not even close to being worn out.

You look wonderful!

You did a terrific job addressing your weight. I am finding that the work is never done because we eat every day. So I face facts every day. CICO works for me. If I am going out for dinner, I assume hidden butters and oils and overestimate calories in my log. My phone step-counter is linked to MFP. Yes I log every day. It…

A chocolate diamond ring! My husband has a sense of humor. Chocolate . . . But from the jewelry store.

18 months, 175lbs. No remaining health challenges. You can do this!

I’m in! Maintaining a 175lb. loss with three meals and two snacks. Protein goal, starchy carb limit, and 80+ oz. of water daily. Within that framework, I adjust to meals with friends by overestimating in my logging to be sure I can retain the good health I set as a goal. Your support and sharing are so appreciated.

You put the bottle in its place: not controlling your life. You made food nourishment, not a solution. You worked your body to its capacity and it responded with strength and health. You are inspiring to me.

My beautiful, fit, slender daughter passed on a coat to me because she bought a different style. It fit. May I tell you I teared up?

Any plans for a big reward to grtz yourself? Vacation, party with friends, new set of clothes?[/quote] My husband said “chocolate” but we talked about food not bring a reward. So, because this man has a sense of humor, picking out a “chocolate” diamond ring is on the horizon. That is now MY kind of chocolate reward!

You have inspired so many of us! Congratulations. Put your health first - it’s not selfish, it’s respectful of the body you were gifted with as a haven for a strong, determined soul. Best wishes!

I slithered into size 14 pants, off the rack, and bought them. Because I liked them, not because they upholstered me and I was grateful. -170, 5 to goal. Thank you MFP posters - you are inspiring.

I bought size 14 jeans, straight leg, at a store. That I went to in order to buy jeans. Not size 34 flared to balance the hips visually, from the catalog with a week-long wait.

I found Trouser-Cut pants at Kohl’s that have a wide, comfy elastic waist. With inexpensive T-shirt worn out 100% of time, no one will ever see. Jackets I buy at consignment stores every 2 sizes. I have to look nice for work. Bring 18s in, take 14s home! Worked for me all the way down from size 34 at the plus-size…

Thank you for this positive thread! 1. MFP prelogging each morning. 2. Fairlife milk, high protein low sugar. 3. Birds eye zucchini lentil pasta. Mix with Muir Glen Garden Vegetable pasta sauce, lean ground beef crumbles, LeSeur baby peas. Microwave lunch at work. 4. ASICS sneakers for walking. 5. Seedless red grapes…

I slithered into size 14s at the local consignment store. Thinking size 12s will be a good goal but happy with the mirror!

I too have watched for the Dragonpants posts. YAY! I bought a second swimsuit with no skirt. A friend passed on some clothing that was too big! Pretty pieces going to the tailor. Goal 12lbs. away. I’m thinking of new wardrobe in Fall colors, a fresh start.

Clearly you have been working so hard! I admire your dedication.

The doctor removed the diagnosis code “obese” from my records this morning. I’m only overweight! Down 163, thinking -175 will do it.

Because I needed no extender, I was free to choose that one precious seat behind the emergency exit where there is no seat in front of you. (They still consider it in the exit rows and extenders are not permitted.) Bliss and comfort!

This is the place to share your plan, your dedication, and your success! Great work.

Until others explained “woo” as suspect info, I thought it meant “woo hoo.” New folks may be cheering on those who signed up for challenges. Let’s be kind to each other.

On a cruise this week, I rode the Skyride into the wind. It’s a frame hanging from a track and you pedal around the outside of the ship, way up in the air. The wind blew me backwards (pedals going backwards). I refused to think they might have to haul me back to base, dug in and pedaled to the end. I can’t believe I could…

For all the times we have confided to each other that “sometimes I still see that fat girl in the mirror,” I think we can understand people thinking our body shape is nice as is, when we’re not at goal. They’re not analyzing our shapes nekkid. Sometimes they’re playfully complimenting, sometimes being bossy. This is OUR…
