Just on my last day of a Whole 30 month and decided to run a test at work. Turns out i now fit size Medium scrubs instead of the large ive been wearing so far!22

I am proud to be posting my first NSV. In the past 2 days, two people have noticed my weight loss--and I'm done 9 lbs as week 8 is coming to a close. One of those people was my 16 y.o. daughter and she was particularly complimentary--which *never* happens, so it was an extra sweet moment!32

The doctor removed the diagnosis code “obese” from my records this morning. I’m only overweight! Down 163, thinking -175 will do it.55

On Monday evening, I accomplished something I've been trying to do for over two years. I finally ran 3.1 miles in under 30 minutes. I completed it with 45 seconds to spare. I'm not even upset that it happened at a social run rather than in a big race. In fact, I think the fact that it was a social run (a little over 200 people) contributed to it happening, since I didn't get hyped up and run myself out like I have before in races.30

My hands are thinner. I'm just hoping my fingers will catch up 😶
Clothing I recently purchased is now too big. I'm looking at you, summer shorts and bras! Thankfully though I bought them waaayyyy cheaper than I usually get them. I tried to keep in mind I wouldn't be fitting them for too long.
I bought my first bralette today. It's still a little small but I'll shrink into it.15 -
This is really an SV, but I"ll still take it. As of last weigh-in, I'm in the Obese Class 1 range, "moderately obese", versus the "severely obese" range I started in. Hoping to make it to "overweight" by the end of the year, but that's about 35lbs off, so I'm going to call that my "ambitious" goal. As long as I keep getting healthier, it's all good.26

OK, this one isn't most recent but from a few weeks ago at a graduation ceremony. The dreaded "only open seats are in the middle" situation. I didn't embarrass myself or anyone else and I had to squeeze by a couple of really large people.15

@HDBKLM Thank you!! I figure if I make myself laugh and feel like the heroine in my own story, I can slay anything in my path!! The dark wood of unknown approaches where I am sure even bigger dragonpants lie, but today I frolic on my birthday!
Congrats to all the NSVs today!![/quote]
Frolic away! Happy Birthday!!!
(I, too, have enjoyed watching the fate of the dragonpants unfold!)1 -
Saw my Cardiologist yesterday for 6-month checkup. He called me his "model patient", and that he couldn't use any of his usual speeches because I'm doing all the right things after last year's double bypass surgery.
This was a week after my annual physical where my primary care doc was just amazed at my changes, and took me off one of my bp meds.47 -
Gotta take a long flight next week and was looking for something comfortable to wear. Found shirt/dress kinda thing at H&M. Tried on size 18 - nope. 16, nope, 14, nope. Size 12 - yep! Stunned. Bought some leggings to wear under it since it's slit up the side. I have never worn them and love them. It's a whole new world. Oh and the shirt dress was on sale for $10 (down from $40). Feeling pretty great today.37

That's great! I had a physical in December and my primary was pretty impressed but I was still at a weight I have gotten to before and didn't maintain. I am looking forward to the next one. Almost 6 months away and I will be at a lower weight than the last one and will have maintained it since early March. This is going to happen.19 -

@dhiammarath I've been enjoying your witty dragonpants posts for months. Now it looks like it's really caught on. Here's to contributing to the MFP lexicon!

NSV? The closet's the limit!! I can closet surf across the backs of my slain dragons for whatever birthday outfit I want. And THAT is so much more than what I had last year. Today, I make camp and enjoy a bit of a respite. I plan to throw a proverbial feast! To live in the glory of my accomplishments!
The war ain't over, and tomorrow new plans will be made. And backup plans for no plan survives first contact with the dragon enemy.
Congrats to all the NSVs today!!
Happy birthday! Surely you wore the dragonpants to the birthday festivities, no?4 -

Those sizes are pretty much my starting and current sizes. Beware....shopping can get very fun! I have Bought so many clothes lately. It's now fun instead of stressful and depressing.
Great job!8 -
My NSV:
I am out of town for a few days and created my own Backyard bootcamp. I brought kettlebells, jump rope, a couple dumbells, yoga mat, etc.
I did my list yesterday morning and had trouble running around the block but got through the rest of my list. I woke up this morning mad as hell because it's pouring rain and I can't get out and try again. For me that is big!17 -
I wore a swimsuit without a skirt on it... and I'm going to do it again today!28

It doesn't sound like much, but considering I started at 13+ minutes/mile at the beginning of the year, this accomplishment feels absolutely huge. I'm averaging 12 minute miles and looking to run a sub 10 minute mile by the end of the year.
Congratulations! And yes, that sounds awesome. Especially considering how many of us started (or still) couldn't run 1 mile straight, at all (including me - at one point I would get winded walking up a single flight of stairs).
10 minute mile - you can do it!8 -

I too have watched for the Dragonpants posts. YAY!
I bought a second swimsuit with no skirt.
A friend passed on some clothing that was too big! Pretty pieces going to the tailor.
Goal 12lbs. away. I’m thinking of new wardrobe in Fall colors, a fresh start.20
