This was a bit of a social experiment. I’m fascinated by how people cling to their dogma. Food and religion seem to really bring out the nasties. I’ve shared my unconventional success with other venues and this is the only one that I’ve been meant with so much vitriol. Please people...life is short and precious, be kind to…

Thanks, inspiration was my intention.

"going through treatment for cancer." Have you seen this about the effects of sting with chemo. https://news.usc.edu/103972/fasting-like-diet-turns-the-immune-system-against-cancer/

That’s my experience

Been doing 22/2 for a few months with a 3-4 day fast twice a month. I eat a meal at 10and noon. Amazing results. Past 4 days and I get a little loopy. This seems to be working very well.
-
Been OMAD most days since thanksgiving, have done (2) fasts 4.5 days long but have felt really bad on day 4 and 5. The folks at IDM suggested that I change things up and do (2) fast a month 3days long each so I’m doing that now and it seems much easier.
-
Just started also doing a 36hour fast once every other week. See how that goes.
-
Yes, doing 22:2 and would like to know how long of an eating window others use?
-
Have about 5 more hours to go for a 110 hour fast. I feel better now than the prior 3 days and would continue if I didn’t have a heavy social weekend ahead with group meals and travel. Down 9.5#.
-
Currently at 75 hours going for 112.

80% keto. Avocados, Cheve cheese, liverwurst, peptitas, coconut oil, ghee, leafy greens, bone broth,

Been doing 20:2 with an OMAD for about a week now. This could be the new normal. It’s so much easier

I did notice that I’m running at a much slower pace for the same heart rate (MAF running). Not sure what that’s all about. I’ve also jumped up to about 80% fat in my diet and full keto where before I was around 65% fat. Thinking that the lower MAF pace is due to extra oxygen needed to metabolize additional fat. Not really…

Been doing 20:2 for a few days and it amazing. Even ran today!
-
Did 18/6 for about a month and 20/4 for about a week. Going for my first OMAD today.

Yeah that usually pisses people off but if there’s one thing that’s been proven oven the year of different diets it’s that it not about calories in calories out. Dr Fungs book The Obesity Code lists numerous studies that confirm this find and that it insulin that is the problem. If it was as simple as calories in calories…
-
A) Insulin causes weight gain. B) Sweet stuff causes insulin to rise. Do the math
-
It’s not about the calories kids, it’s all about insulin. Any sweet stuff, sugar free etc, is going to cause a insulin spike and weight gain to occur. This why diet products are totally ineffective when it come to weight loss.
-
They have heavy whipping cream behind the counter if you ask for it. That in an Americano and a bag of nuts and you are set.
-
Dr fungs books should arrive today. I’m very excited about all this.
-
Oh lord
-
I’ve done a number of 50-100 milers on keto. It’s a really sweet burn. Last 50miler I even did IF but we took it easy, 6 days.. I use a lot of macadamia nuts, and home made pemican.
-
Well I accidentally did a 20 hour fast today and was perfectly fine!
-
Thanks, I had no idea
-
Just the amount of time you save in meal planning, prep, eating and clean up must be amazing.
-
Where you keto the whole time while doing IF?
-
Wow eating in a 2 hour window.
-
The quote came from Volek on the video. I’m not aware of the exact research article he is referring to.
-
Since I’m not pre-diabetic does that mean I’m “unamerican?”
-
The research was published in JAMA.
