Same here. Stopped consistently weighing food/logging for 2+ months - not because I was at goal weight but because my work/travel schedule got crazy. And 10-ish lbs is back on in a flash. Sigh. I know better. Back at it. We can do this!

It is absolutely worth paying for a couple of sessions with a trainer to get the form right. Lifting is awesome - I was terrified of “that side of the gym” for so long. But knowing what to do has given me the confidence to crush it. The boys know not to get in my way! Lol

It has taken me over 2 years. I went slow and steady at about a lb a week ... from 284 to 174-ish. I am 5’9.

I asked something similar last year. In the end I settled on a bottle of bourbon and a steak house gift certificate because he told me he rarely splurged but when he did it was on good meat and bourbon.

I love the gym! I pay $49/mo for 24 hr access, all the equipment I could ever imagine and all the classes I want (they have a ton!). The members are great, the trainers are great and I don’t nearly have room enough in my house for all the equipment I want to use!

Just checked the official time - 35:13 ... I finished in the top 25% of all runners (a lot of people walked). I definitely ate/drank more calories than I burned off but it was worth it! :p :p :p

Um, I had to do a “water cleanse” of a sort for colonoscopy prep. :D The second I was done I wolfed down 3 McDonald’s cheeseburgers as fast as I could shove them in my mouth! Pretty sure I didn’t chew. I know it’s not the same but a day of just clear liquid was enough to make me insane!
