I love Shock Absorber sports bras.

Infusing with fruits (lemon, lime, berries, orange, apple), veg (cucumber) and herbs (mint, basil) help it from being boring. I also carry my water bottle everywhere.

When I used to travel for work, I would walk to a local market or Target City store and stock up on fresh fruits and veggies, Greek yogurt to keep me on track. (Request a small fridge for your hotel room to keep things fresh). Walking/running is a lovely way to explore the city you're in.

Goodness, so much negativity! My original question was if anybody else saw the scale go up... As for the logging calories/weighing food/etc., I have a notebook right next to my scale to jot down the numbers as I go. I don't always have time to get it into MFP...but I know what my daily CICO are!

I think I've Friend Requested you all! Anyone else, feel free to add me as a friend so we can keep each other motivated :)

I do weigh/measure all my food - I just don't log it in ;)

I highly recommend reading Tom Venuto's book "Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle". It's packed with muscle building information..and he basically states you should eat more (of the right foods) to lose more weight - especially protein. It was an eye-opening book for me, as I'm a child of the 80s and I was taught that to lose…

Sorry, 1 1/2 weeks

I'm a stay at home mom, so the snacking situation is tough (everything is right there in the kitchen!). I am finding that if I plan ahead what I'll snack on, instead of going into the kitchen to see what sounds good helps. I prep my cut veggies and leave them in a baggie, weigh out my dried fruit and nut trail mix - no…

My profile pic says my current affirmation - "When you're struggling, think of your dream body". Totally helps push through those tough few minutes where I'm thinking of not getting to the gym or eating something I shouldn't.

Yep! Ticks me off when I go the doctor's office and the first thing you do is hop on the scale - which is in the HALLWAY on the way to your room. No chance to strip down, take off shoes, coat, etc. I do put down my purse though. LOL!

I joined for 2 months to be able to work out while my oldest son was being tutored a couple hours a week, so purely for a time-convenience thing (my regular gym was too far away). I found the cardio machines to be 'hurky-jerky' that hurt my joints (the only way I know to describe it! There wasn't a smooth fluid motion to…

All foods found in nature = good for you and nutritious! Granola bars are highly processed food with a ton of added sugar, I consider them junk food. I had a coworker constantly on a diet and she would eat one of those every day for breakfast (I forgot which brand) and one day she looked at the nutrition information on the…

I'd be ravenous too, if I ate your calorie totals! Your body needs the proper amount of calories to function. Food is FUEL for you. I would suggest meeting with a nutritionist who can help you set up the right amount of food for your needs/activity level. (Many health plans will cover the cost. If not, reach out to your…

I agree that your calorie count sounds too low. You don't want to put your body into starvation mode because it will slow your metabolism too much (not to mention, you'll be so hungry that you'll give up). I would say bump up your calorie intake and do some form of low- impact exercise, like walking, aqua aerobics and…

And walking is all the proper exercise you do?! You look fabulous! Keep it up :)

I'll bet you feel awesome! Great job!

We're the same size  I'm 5'6" and 183. My goal weight is 137, so I have ways to go. We could motivate each other! Feel free to add me!

Feel free to add me! I would love to be on your cheering squad and you can be on mine. LOL! Are you following any particular program? I just started Shaun T's T25 Focus.
-
I wholeheartedly second this! I did the same - KILLED myself in the gym with a personal trainer for months and months (and wasted $3000!), only to lose 4 lbs. Not only was that a motivation-killer, but the training sessions were way too hard on my body (I'm not in my 20s or 30s anymore) and my body started to break down.…
